Curing the concrete soon after the initial set using approved curing compound (MUM1X0-
LWC-XX-ZZ-MAS-C-0059)
At time of concreting, reinforcement & formwork area shall be cleaned and free from dust.
Mud, oil, grease, mill scale and other foreign materials.
Use appropriate needles for vibration depending on the width of element, reinforcement
spacing. For big footings use 60mm dia. needle, for small pours use 40mm dia. needle. Ensure
that just adequate vibration is only done. Over vibration will lead to segregation of concrete and
damaging formwork fixations.
Cement slurry shall be passed to lubricate the inner surface of concrete dispatching pipe lines,
before pumping concrete into it. This slurry shall be utilized and disposed of suitably and not be
completely discharged only on particular location of pouring.
Placing of concrete should be done using pumps and achieve necessary free fall height 1.5m
wherever required.
Do not use chutes longer than 4.5m using plain G.I sheet to pour concrete & with fall of height.
Ensure concrete chute is properly supported and free from loss of slurry..
Concrete shall be poured into structural element, layer by layer, with proper intermediate
vibratory needle insertions. Layer thickness will be as per approved drawing poured and
compacted prior to pour next layer.
Ensure that concrete surface shall be provided with broom finish at applicable areas and vertical
element starter surface accommodated within rebars shall be finished with either planting with
