Health In case of contact with eyes and skin, the product may cause mild
irritation.
Inhalation of vapours can irritate the nose and throat, of higher
amounts are inhaled fatigue may occur.
Ingestion of product may cause vomiting.

adverse effects in the aquatic environment.

4. First Aid Measurements


First aid – Inhalation Supply fresh air. Get medical attention if ill effects persist.

First aid – Skin contact Dry skin and rinse with soap and water. Get medical attention if
irritation or other ill effects develop or persist.
First aid – Eye contact Rinse with tepid water for at least 5 minutes. Get medical
attention.
First aid – Ingestion Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical
attention.

Special hazards of product This product may give rise to hazardous fumes in a fire such as
CO2, traces of incompletely burned carbon compounds, silicon
dioxide, nitrogen oxides, fluorine compounds, sulfur oxides, metal

pressure (SCBA) and full equipment.

Exposure limits according to Swedish regulation.
Respiration protection Use respiratory protection unless adequate local exhaust
ventilation is provided or exposure assessment demonstrates that
exposures are within recommendation exposure guidelines.
Depending on the working conditions, wear a respiratory mask
with filter(s) P or use a self-contained respirator.
The choice of a filter type depends on the amount and type of
chemical being handled in the workplace.
Eye protection Use chemical worker´s googles.

Hand protection Safety gloves should be worn if the product is used frequently.
Recommended materials are nitril, silver-shield, 4H and viton.
Skin protection Protective equipment is not normally necessary.
Additional information Exercise good industrial hygiene practice. Wash after handling,
especially before eating, drinking or smoking.
Precautions are valid for handling at room temperature. Use of the
product at elevated temperatures or aerosol / spray application
requires additional precautions.

10. Stability and Reactivity


Stability Stable under normal conditions. Hazardous polymerization will
not occur.
Reactivity May react with strong oxidizing substances.

Hazardous decomposition products Silica. Carbon oxides and traces of incompletely


burned carbon compounds. Toxic vapours of fluorinated
compounds. Nitrogen products. Sulphur products. Product may
emit formaldehyde vapors in temperatures above 150 °C in the
present of air.
Other information Formaldehyde vapor is harmful by inhalation and irritating to eyes
and respiratory system at breathing concentration less then 1
ppm. Formaldehyde is a suspected carcinogen.

11. Toxicological Information
Inhalation No adverse effects are normally expected. Follow the hygienic
exposure limits carefully
Skin contact Frequent or prolonged contact may remove natural oils and dry
out the skin, and cause discomfort and dermatitis.
Eye contact Slightly irritating.

Ingestion Small amounts transferred to the mouth by fingers during use


should not injure. Swallowing large amounts may cause digestive
discomfort.

Other Long term exposure to fluorides can cause fluorosis with bone
changes, mottled teeth, weight loss and anemia.
However, this is not very likely for this product when calcium
fluoride is bound in the paste.
The product contains substances that have threshold limits and
when inhaled in dust form may constitute a health risk. The risk of
inhaling these substances is low when these substances is bound
in the paste..
