1. This document describes procedures for volumetric analysis using a potassium permanganate (KMnO4) solution to titrate against a Mohr's salt (ammonium iron(III) sulfate hexahydrate) solution. 2. The steps include preparing a 20g/L KMnO4 solution and using it to titrate a 10mL aliquot of the Mohr's salt solution. Phenolphthalein is used as an indicator. 3. Calculations are then shown to determine the molarity of the KMnO4 solution based on the titration results and chemical equations balancing the redox reaction between KMnO4 and Mohr's salt.
