The IMDb Movie Analysis Project is a data-driven exploration of the world's largest movie database. This project aims
to uncover fascinating insights into the film industry, including trends in genres, ratings, and box office performance.
By harnessing advanced data analytics and visualization techniques, we will dissect IMDb's vast dataset to provide
valuable information for filmmakers, movie enthusiasts, and industry professionals.
APPROACH
In this project, our initial step involves
comprehending the provided dataset.
Subsequently, we will pre-process the data to suit
our needs, addressing issues like null values and
eliminating redundant columns. Following the
data cleansing process, we will employ pivot
tables, diverse functions, and charts to extract the
desired insights. We will continuously inquire into
the data by asking "why" questions to delve
deeper into the underlying issues. Finally, we will
present our findings in a well-structured format
using tables and graphs.

the top as they have the highest number of
movies made and have higher IMDB scores
relative to other genres.

LANGUAGE ANALYSIS
MOST English is the most popular

RATED Telugu are the highest rating
LANGUAGE languages on IMDB.

While English is the frequent language, it has an


IMDB Score average of 6.4. Telugu has extremely
low number of movies, just 1, and has a very high
IMDB score. This shows the discrepancy in data.
DIRECTOR ANALYSIS
HIGHEST Charles Chaplin, Tony Kaye are the
RATED highest rated directors on IMDB.
DIRECTORS
All the directors with an average IMDB

%ILE score >=7.7 have better ratings than 95%


of all the dataset.

The table shows a list of some of the top rated


directors on IMDB.
