Hiring Manager,
6692 Auto Center Dr.
Buena Park, CA 90621

Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m an Operations Manager in Supply Chain with a background in Operations and e-commerce. Why does
this matter for Tesla’s Logistics Analyst, Outbound position? Just as Tesla is looking for someone
interested in creating an excellent customer experience, I also strive to use my knowledge and skills to
develop lean and sustainable supply chain processes to deliver the best customer experience. Let me
share a little bit more about my experience.

With 6+ years of experience in the industry, I have hands-on experience with many of the key components
of a supply chain. I have managed imports where I successfully imported over 1600 containers, all within
US customs and CBP compliance. I partnered with domestic and global 3rd party logistics to ensure their
performance and quality standards in production, warehouse, inventory management, and shipping via rail
and trucking to the final customer. As Operations Manager, I create collaborative communication channels
and processes with critical stakeholders such as sales, accounting, and the executive team. I work with
supply chain vendors to deliver customer-centric solutions that drive revenue, reduce costs, and increase
profits while promoting ethical business practices. I recently graduated from CareerFoundry with a
certification in data analytics. This certification enables me to analyze and improve inefficient logistical
processes and present insights to key stakeholders.

My eye for detail and work ethic drive me not to stop until the job is complete, leading to consistent, high-
quality results. I have worked on global teams in fast-paced environments and juggled multiple priorities,
enabling me to make quick decisions on complex issues. I have extensive people management experience
and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. During the pandemic, being in supply chain
management has improved my ability to quickly adapt to market changes such as freight volatility and
supply shortage to negotiate and generate creative solutions to stay competitive and meet customer
service levels.

I am confident that my skills and experience in supply chain and operations will make me an asset in
fulfilling Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy and make the best cars
on the market.

I look forward to setting up an interview to discuss my range of skills further and share some more of my
recent achievements. Thank you for reviewing this letter and my enclosed resume.

Sincerely,
David J. Valdez
