2. Check Levels, elevations, distances & sizes of pipes, supports & equipment
are as per approved shop drawings & material approvals.
3. Ensure all material approvals & material verification records have been
approved by the consultant.
4. Only trained & experienced personnel shall perform the work.
CIVIL 5. Ensure civil clearance has been issued prior to start of any installation.
1. Ensure that pipe supports, clamps, rubber inserts are properly installed.
Installation for the Electric Domestic
2. Check that location of water heaters are as per approved shop drawings
3. Check connection of pipes to the water heater has been properly done
considering, slopes, no sharp bends & air release valve.
4. Check for all pipework installation has been levelled, plumbed & aligned.
Water Heater
10. Check if temperature & pressure relief valve has been installed & properly
done.
11. Check the power supply voltage match the voltage indicated on the water
heater rating plate.
12. Check if correct sizes of wires, fuse or circuit breaker had been used to
supply the water heater with power.
13. Ensure that all electrical connections have been inspected & approved.
Records shall be available.

1. Check if unit is filled with water & cold water inlet valve is open.
Testing for the Electric Domestic Water Heater
2. Verify & check that there is electrical current / Voltage in the water
heater by using ammeter.
3. Ensure that the water heaters are free from damages, debris & dust
prior to start test.
4. Turn ON the main power circuit breaker. Ensure that the Heater’s
Green Power- ON indicator light is illuminated.
5. After turning ON the water heater, ensure that there are 2 to 4 red
flashes beeps occurs but should not be continues.
7. Open hot water faucet to release trapped air & open cold water
inlet.
8. Check water temperature setting. IF water appears too warm, lower
the temperature. Ensure temperature gauge should not be set to
above 130°F.
