ANCHORING SCRIPT FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY AUGUST 15

GOOD MORNING,

It’s an honour to be here today as the anchor for this event.


I would like to extend a warm welcome to our Respected Principal, Fathers,
Teachers, Parents and my dear friends, who have gathered here today. Your
presence make this event even more special and I am grateful to have each and
everyone of you here.

We are thrilled to welcome you to our


INDEPENDENCE DAY function. My name is HANSSINI . Today we celebrate the
day our nation earned its freedom, the day when our forefather’s dreams of
self-ruled turned into reality! Indeed , it is a day our nation saw the dawn of
freedom, a new beginning, a novel chapter in the vast and varied history.

Before we dive into the festivities. Lets take a moment to salute our great
nation asking everyone to stand for the NATIONAL ANTHEM

(Playing national anthem)

Thank you everyone. Now let’s start the event by welcoming , Fathers with
band. (by: black commandos) to the stage

Now let’s start the event or an artsy note with a prayer dance performed by
L.K.G Students. (Give them a big round of applause)

Here is a patriotic dance by 4th,5th& 6th students.

Very nice performance the junior students. It has filled our hearts with patriotic
spirit. (Give them a big round of applause) , moving on next, we have very
talented students of 7th lotus and 7th jasmine, to make a pyramid.

Wow! It’s really very nice performance’, Our next move is to invite Miss. Priya
Jyothi, our beloved teacher, to deliver an English Speech. Thank you maam, we
are grateful for such enlightening words from you. Now, we welcome the
students of 8th class (Girls) to sing a patriotic song in English. The name of the
song is – “Proud to be an Indian”

Remembering our grate leaders sacrifices through the song rekindles our
patriotic spirit. It is a stirring performance. (Give them a big round of
applause). Moving on to the next, we have second showcare of pyramid by 9 th
Boys & Girls.

Very nice performance. Our next move is a skit presented by high school
students. It is a skit in English.

“What an outstanding performance!” it shows us about the importance of


independence day celebration in present days. The youth wants a new and free
India. Free from corruption , poverty and diseases.
Now I invite ______________ from 10th class to deliver her speech on account
of independence day.

It’s heart touching, thank you ______________. Moving on next, we have a


dance by high school boys to entertain us.

Wow! Marvelous , they have done their best to entertain us. A very nice
performance! Again, I welcome for the last set of pyramid made by the 8 th Boys
and Girls.

Our next, move is for a group song by 7th, 8th and 9th class students.. It’s
inspiring. (Give them a big round of applause).

Now, on the structure of the pyramids I wish to say that it’s a stunning
performance. All the pyramid performer showed their talents with ease.

Now, I invite our beloved teacher MR. SURESH to deliver a speech in Telugu.
Thank you sir, its very informative speech.

Here comes a very interesting and talented boy, who plays a music on the
keyboard. It’s very melodious music. A very good performance. Thank
you_______________. Now, let’s show some more interesting thing. Here is a
dance (Cinematic) by the high school girls. It’s a remix. Hope you will enjoy it.

I hope everyone enjoyed it. It was a very good and thrilling performance. (Give
them a big round of applause). Now, I Request our esteemed principal to share
few words and guide our young minds on this significant day! (Principal
speech).

Thank you Father, for your enlightening words.

Before concluding the event, here we have come with another patriotic song by
8th class girls. The song is : “we love our country ! we love India”. What an
enlightening words and enchanting performances! Each word echoed the
sentiment of a proud Indian, and each performance made our hearts bring with
patriotism. What an outstanding performance! It reminds us of the love we
hold for our nation. (Give them a big round of applause). Now the last item is
“vote of thanks by Ashwitha from 10th class student.

As I conclude our event, lets take a pledge to strive hard and contribute to the
development of our nation.
