OBJECTIVES
Structural design is the methodical analysis of a structure's stability, strength, and rigidity. The
primary goal of structural analysis and design is to create a structure that can withstand all applied
loads without failing during its specified life.

In building construction, a structural system is a specific way of assembling and constructing

structural parts of a building so that they securely support and transmit applied loads to the ground
without exceeding the permitted stresses in the members.

PROCEDURES
1. Before cutting, measure the Rc bar (mm) with a measuring tape. Using a bar cutter and
cut the Rc bar.

2. Use a bar bender to shape the Rc bar until it gets a square shape.

Figure 2

3. After making five square shapes, use a hook to tie the five square shapes on each of the
four sides of the Rc rod using wire. Rectangular tied beam.

4. After finishing the beam reinforcement, make a formwork using Plywood 10mm and
Timber 2"X1". use a hammer and nail to attach plywood and timber.

5. Place the beam reinforcement into the formwork that has been prepared for the concrete
mold to be placed.

6. Measuring the ratio of fixed Aggregate, Sand, Water and Cement. Mix the aggregate,
cement, water, and sand by using the scoop.

7. After finishing mixing the concrete, place the concrete into the formwork. Put mixture in
the formwork and let it for 24 hours before demolding.
