COURSE SYLLABUS

Course Name Assessment of Student Learning II

Course Credits 3 units

Course Description This course is a new teacher education subject aligned with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which
prescribed a new teacher education curriculum that responds to the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers
(PPST) coupled with the seven integrated domains of the teaching – learning process. It includes discussion of
formative assessment in the context of classroom practices. Also, it involves the construction of different test types
that could address assessment in a K-12 classroom. Scoring, organizing and interpreting of scores and computation
of grades will be tackled also.
Contact Hours/Week 3 hours
Prerequisite none
1. Build a repertoire of strategies for sharing learning goals with students for soliciting information from students, and
Course Outcomes that encourage student self-regulation.
2. Construct tools that can assess the four levels of assessment namely knowledge, process, understanding and
product/performance.
3. Compute and interpret the values of measures of central tendency and variability.
