Why LYING SPIRITS are the worst!
1 John 4:1–2 (NKJV)

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets
have gone out into the world…
We live in a world of lies, and that’s because of Satan and his LYING SPIRITS.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (TLB)

Satan, who is the god of this evil world, has made people blind, unable to see the glorious light of the Gospel
that is shining upon them or to understand the amazing message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is
God.
2 Corinthians 11:14 (NKJV)

For Satan disguises himself into an angel of light.
No one would fall for a lie if they knew it was a lie.
We’re not stupid people. But to some degree we are ignorant people as it pertains to the kingdom of darkness.
People, including Christians, are prone to believe lies because of our fallen nature due to sin.
John 3:19 (NKJV)

… light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
But Why are LYING SPIRITS the worst of all?

Well, the primary goal of LYING SPIRITS is to set you against God. To get you to distrust him and break his laws
and destroy yourself.
LYING SPIRITS are the worst of all because they are door openers, Portal openers for other unclean, evil spirits
to come in and fulfil their diabolic will and desires in and through you.
Lying spirits may or may not indwell people. But whether they do or not,
 They persistently bombard the minds of people until they are blinded to the truth.
 They persistently attack truth to present it as a lie.
 They persistently attack your identity, so you see yourself for what you’re not.
 They attack your mind until you finally start lying to yourself.
 Until you start lying to others.
 Until you believe and act on the deceits to your own bondage and downfall.
LYING SPIRITS can lie in very subtle, yet very real and powerful ways.
o IDENTITY – you are gay. You will die gay. Adjust to it and live a happy life.
o BEHAVIOR – your father/mother was an alcoholic. You will die an alcoholic.
o CURSES – Your father/mother was divorced. You will be divorced.
Your father/mother angry/hateful/bitter. You will die angry/hateful/bitter.
Your father/mother had diabetes/cancer/high blood pressure. You will never be healed…
Your father/mother was poor/in financial debt. You will die poor and in financial debt.
Your family was cursed. You will never be free. Never be delivered. You will never change.
o SINS – God will never forgive you for what you have done.
BUT GOD SAYS ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES. Mark 9:23

Don’t fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, thieves or greedy people, drunkards, slanderers, or
robbers, who are idol worshipers, adulterers or homosexuals—will have no share in God’s Kingdom. Neither
will. 11 There was a time when some of you were just like that but now your sins are washed away, and you are
living godly lives; and he has accepted you because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have
done for you.
People fall for these lies from LYING SPIRITS because they think the thoughts are self-generated, and not from
the devil. THE LIES ARE NOT YOURS!
But LYING SPIRITS also governs a much wider, deeper spectrum of ungodly practices.
Here are some of their Manifestations –

Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The LORD said to
him, ‘In what way?’ 21 So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And
the LORD said, ‘You shall persuade him and also prevail; go out and do so.’

So they come as though they are sincere and sit before you listening. But they have no intention of
doing what I tell them to; they talk very sweetly about loving the Lord, but with their hearts they are
pursuing their own personal gain.
 SUPERSTITIONS, Acts 28:3-6, magic, sorcery, witchcraft, astrology, idolatry – DAGON DEFEATED –
EGYPT GODS DEFEATED – DIANA OF THE EPHESIANS DEFEATED. Prov 6:27(Can a man take fire in his
bossom and not be burned?)

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, … according to the basic
principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Christ … 10 …you are complete, who is the

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to
deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy…

And this is true. So speak to the Christians there as sternly as necessary to make them strong in the
faith 14and to stop them from listening to Jewish folk tales and the commandmentss of men who have
turned their backs on the truth.
 FALSE PROPHECY, any word spoken to flatter you that is not consistent with the word of God.

 ACCUSATIONS, SLANDER, GOSSIPS, LIES…
LYING SPIRITS are even able to produce LYING SIGNS AND WONDERS –

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the
truth, that they might be saved.
Are LYING SPIRITS really that powerful? CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING!
1. The first two human beings(Adam/Eve) were created perfect in every way. Yet, they lost their identity,
their position, and their rights.
God said to Adam and Eve,

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall
surely die.”
Satan, the liar said to Adam and Eve,

Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.
 Did they die? YES!

 Did they lose their position, YES!
 Did they know they were being lied to? NO!
 SATAN AND HIS DEMONS ARE LAIRS! MURDERS! DESTROYERS!
 They make the truth look like a lie. And the lie look like the truth!
2. KING AHAB –
1 Kings 22:21–22 (NKJV)

Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ 22 The LORD said
to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’

 Did King Ahab die? YES!

 Did he know he was being lied to? NO!
 Why did King Ahab fall for lies? Because he continually rejected the truth.
KING DAVID –
Now Satan stood up against Israel, and persuaded David to number Israel. 2 So David said to Joab … “Go,
number Israel …and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.” 3 … But, my lord the king, are they
not all my lord’s servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Why should he be a cause of guilt in
Israel?”

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel. 8 So David said to God, “I have sinned
greatly, because I have done this thing…

So the LORD sent a plague upon Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel died
 Did King David die? NO! but 70,000 people died

 Did King David know he was being lied to? NO!
 Why did King David fall for the lie? Because of his pride.

resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
HOW DO WE GUARD AGAINST LYING SPIRITS?
1. DO NOT PROBE INTO THE UNKNOWN WITHOUT THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OR THE GUAIDANCE
OF AN ANOINTED MAN OF GOD. 2 Cor 10:13; 1 Cor 4:6

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and
to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
2. ACCEPT THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD TO BE PERFECT. Don’t question. Don’t doubt God!

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
3. PRACTICE HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD! Spend time with him in worship and prayer. Obey him.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 … neither shall anyone snatch them
out of My hand.
4. REBUKE SATAN AND HIS LYING DEMONS ALOUD every time they lie to you.
