    Dear Editor,

    There are lots of arguments that saying students shouldn’t have a


    tablet computer. However, I don’t agree with it.
    As the growth of the technology, there are more and more new
    products that can help our life, including learning. Using a tablet
    computer is one of the ways. Let me talk about the advantages of it.
    Considering that there are lots problem in students’ learning, the
    tablet computer will also can help solving them. As known that,
    students need to bring a very heavy schoolbag to school. It will hurt
    their backs for carrying heavy things book to school every day.
    However, if they have a tablet, they can use e book. For an addition,
    they can do homework and worksheets inside the tablet, it can
    reduce a lot of amount using of paper. By using e books, they won’t
    forget to bring books or homework to school as well. Moreover,
    many students have problem watching the projector screen as it is far
    or the color is light sometimes. If teachers can share the screen in
    students’ tablet, they can watch them easily so they won’t miss any
    point in the lesson. As known as there are lots of students are willing
    to answer questions during the class, if they shout the answer out, it
    will be a big mess during the lesson. Or even some of them are shy
    to talk and not answering questions.
    There are lots of advantages by using tablet too. Some students’
    handwriting is slow, they can’t write all notes during the lesson. If
    the teacher share the screen in their tablet, they can cap the screen or
    they can even record the lesson and listen one more time in home.
    Furthermore, teachers can make some online quizzes for students to
    compete with themselves. It will make the lesson much happier and
    when the students get entertainments in it, they will be interested in
    the lesson and pay more attention during class. Another key thing to
    rmb that students will have lots of things that they won’t understand
    during learning. It is impossible for the teacher to explain all things
    that they don’t understand. Therefore, they can find those
    information in the internet to solve their problems.
    Some people will say that the students will play games during
    the lesson and won’t pay attention to the class. In my opinion, I think
    they will have enough discipline to control themselves not playing in
    the class. However, there must be some students can’t control
    themselves. There are some software that can let school supervise
    the device. The school can don’t let the device to download any
    other apps but only apps that the school give to download and they
    are all for learning purpose. To not be monitored by the school and
    let the tablet become a “rubbish” I think that students won’t use
    them in a bad way during the lesson.
    In order to increase the joy of the class and the learning of the
    students, letting them to use a tablet during the lesson is a very good
    way to achieve these goals. Why can’t they use tablet in school?
