Title : Frozen II
I'll tell you a little about Frozen II. Taking the set three years after the first film, Frozen II
tells the story of Elsa who has become Queen in Arandelle and Anna living happily with the
people she loves, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven.. The story opens with Elsa's past memories of
with her father and mother when told about the magical forest that disappeared. Until one time,
Elsa heard a voice that she thought was related to the mystery of the existence of the enchanted
forest. She continued to be haunted until she tried to trace the source of the sound. However, she
instead raised spirits from enraged enchanted forests until life in Arendelle was threatened again
because of it.
Being the cause of the problem, Elsa decided to find a way to the enchanted forest to save
Arendelle herself. However, the action was prevented by her younger sister. They finally left
together with Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven. In the enchanted forest there is an ancient tribe called
Northuldra, they live side by side with the spirits. The Arandelle also tried to be friendly with
them by providing water dams as a sign of peace. One time there was a conflict between them
and make the magical forest covered with fog, no one can get in there. On the trip, Elsa not only
traced the root of the problem that occurred between Arendelle and the enchanted forest. But she
also found the real cause of the death of their parents to the source of their power.
The twists and turns of the journey in Frozen II not only uncover the mysteries that are
unanswered in the first series, but also become an illustration of the process of maturing and
searching for the identity of each character as the following explanation:
Olaf, he innocently feels uneasy at the thought of growing up and thinks being an adult
makes magical things no longer make sense.
Elsa becomes a person who is more confident in all the actions taken. Over time, she tried
to understand the situation and control herself first in dealing with problems. Most
importantly, Elsa can finally accept the difference in self with the power they have.
Anna, she looked quite excessive at the beginning because of the fear of the attitude of
her sister who felt she could overcome everything by himself. However, this time she was
also described as being able to consider the impact when determining attitudes and
decisions.
The personal characters of the main characters are formed by the events they have been
through. The audience, especially the first Frozen audience, also seemed to be invited to grow
together with the characters in the film.
In the following, I will explain my review regarding the film Frozen II, the storyline pattern
offered by Frozen II is not much different from the previous film. The difference is that this film
is presented in a fresher packaging and a more mature atmosphere and character than the
previous film. The development of each character is quite obvious as they grow. With a more
complex story, Frozen II was successfully packaged into a sequel that fulfilled expectations and
was entertaining. Meanwhile, we are taken to look at the past that Elsa and Anna do not know.
Where did Elsa's great strength come from and how their parents died. Everything has been
answered in this film.
On the other side, Olaf's behavior and humor become the main attraction, it can even be
said to be more entertaining than the first. In animation and cinematography, beautiful images
spoil the eyes throughout the film. Elsa's dress in this sequel also became its own highlight. And
also, theme songs that are not less imprinted and have 'power' like the first series. Frozen II
soundtrack songs are more mature. Magnets from the movie Frozen (2013) are soundtrack songs
that stick to the brain. In the film Frozen II, they also present new soundtrack songs such as ‘Into
the Unknown’ and ‘All is Found’ which are very good and able to hypnotize the audience. The
songs in the movie Frozen II convey more reality and maturity of each character.
In general, Frozen II becomes a sequel that makes the heart cheerful and is able to make the
audience enjoy every magical thing that is served. Frozen II is a pity to be missed with family.
Although the story feels more to the process of self-maturity, but this sequel can still be accepted
and enjoyed by the children's audience.
