Introduction
Dear users,
This document describes the steps that are needed to install updates
correctly. There are two ways to install EPLAN updates correctly.

Installation via
EPLAN Download Manager
The downloaded update ZIP file is unzipped and stored in a local folder.
1. Launch your EPLAN program, for example “EPLAN 2024”.

2. Select the following menu items: File > Help > Support & Up-
dates > Download Manager.

3. Select the Install from folder option and select the local folder by
clicking the […] button.

4. In the table select the required update in the Program feature col-
umn by activating the corresponding check box, for example
“EPLAN Platform 2024 Update 1”.

5. Click the [Start] button.


 The installation begins. If EPLAN is still open, a message indicates
that EPLAN must be closed to complete the installation.

6. After the installation, start EPLAN again and select the following
menu items: File > Help > Product.

 The current version is displayed.

Manual installation
The downloaded update ZIP file is unzipped and stored in a local folder.

1. Open the folder and run the EPLAN platform installation file, for ex-
ample EPLAN Platform 2024 Update 1 21460.msp. Follow the
instructions of the installer.

2. After installing the EPLAN platform, run the corresponding GUI in-
stallation file, for example EPLAN Gui de-DE 2024.msi. Follow the
instructions of the installer.

3. If there is an EPLAN License Client.zip file in the update folder,


unzip it to a subfolder and run the Setup.exe file. Follow the instruc-
tions of the installer.
4. After the installation, start EPLAN again and select the following
menu items File > Help > Product.

 The current version is displayed.
