Being a scouter is not an easy task since you have a lot of duties and responsibilities
to perform; however, if you live by the heart the promises and the laws of being a scouter,
nothing is impossible to do.
To our beloved School Directress, Ms. Aileen Mae A. Alug, parents, faculty and staff, scouts,
and honored guests, welcome to this remarkable occasion – the School-Based BSP and GSP
Camporal and Kab and Star Scout Holiday with the theme "Discover, Create, Serve." Today
promises to be a day filled with inspiration, companionship, and the spirit of scouting.
To officially kick off our program, let us all rise for the Entrance of Colors. Please give a warm
welcome to our color guards as they proudly march in with our flags.
Now, let us seek the guidance of the Almighty as we bow our heads for the Opening Prayer
and please remain standing on the singing of the national anthem followed by the Pikit Hymn
to be conducted by Ms. Jesselyn G. Fernandez.
At this moment, let us hear some welcoming words from Ms. Sittie Armiah D. Samama in the
Opening Remarks. Please give her a round of applause.
And now, For a significant part of today's event, the Investiture Ceremony. This is a
momentous occasion for our scouts as they pledge to uphold the principles and values of
scouting.
To begin, let's witness the Lightning Candle Ceremony. I invite our selected Boys Scouts to
come forward and symbolize the spirit of scouting.
Bearitz
“You have presented yourself before this troop and asked to be made Scouts. Is this your
wish now?”
In this ceremony you will be received into this troop and into the brotherhood of Scouting.
Before you, is a single, lighted candle. It represents the spirit of Scouting. As you become
Scouts you will learn more the scouting spirit. The law of the troop is the Scout Law. It is
known and followed by millions of Scouts. You will learn and follow this law, too. Listen closely
for I will soon ask you whether you accept this law as your own.” (The Senior Patrol Leader or
twelve (12) boys who are already a member will recite the parts of the law).
(Lightning of 12 candles)
“You have heard the twelve points of the scout Law. Do you accept this law as a scout and do
you promise to do your best to live by this law?”
“Scouts also live by another code: It is the Scout Oath. The Scout Oath describes three
duties that every Scout must accept his duty to God, his duty to other, and his duty to himself.
I want you to make this promise publicly for the first time. Repeat after me this Oath as I light
three candles to represent these three duties. (Troop Leader uses big lighted candle to light
the three candles representing the Scouth Oath. Troop Leader orders Scouts to make Scout
Sign.)
“On my Honor,/ I will do my best/ To do my duty/ To God and my country/ the Republic of the
Philippines (Light the center candle)/ And to obey the Scout Law,/ To help other People at all
times (Lights the left candle)/ To keep myself physically strong,/ mentally awake,/ and morally
straight. (Light the right candle). TROOP LEADER: “You have heard the words of the Scouth
Oath.
Do you accept the three duties it describes and do you pledge yourself to learn and to follow
the Scouth Oath?”
“Very well. Now in the light of these candles, it symbolizes that the spirit of the scouth Oath
and the Scout Law lights our steps. I direct your attention to the flag. We know what it means.
We learned to take care of it. We love and honor the nation it represents. I ask you now to
face and pledge your allegiance to it. Use the Scout Sign.”
At this juncture, May I call on Kab Scout, Ibrahim Al-Kaiser S. Molibas to recite the Kab
scout Promise and law.
For the Star Scout Promise and Law, may I call on Star Scout Maleekha Saudia A.
Mangansakan to recite and lead it.
Girl Scouts of all ages recite—and live by—the ideals listed in the Girl Scout Promise and
Law. They remind us to do our best in being kind to others, respecting ourselves, making the
world a better place, and so much more. The Girl Scout Promise is a commitment families can
make to support the local Girl Scout community as they grow, bond, and learn together.
To lead the Promise and Law of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, May I call on GSP Scout
Clyde M. Teomera and GSP Scout Princess Amnah H. Sultan.

As we approach the conclusion of our program, let's hear some final thoughts from Ms. Sittie
Fairose H. Tahir. Please join me in welcoming her for the Closing Remarks.
Thank you, Ms. Sittie Fairose H. Tahir, for your inspiring words. And with that, we conclude our
School-Based BSP and GSP Camporal, Kab and Star Scout Holiday with the theme
"Discover, Create, Serve."
May the spirit of scouting continue to guide and inspire us all. Have a wonderful day!
