    IMPERFEKTI

    Finnish verbs have four tenses:


    present tense, imperfect, perfect
    and pluskvamperfect. The tenses
    work the same way as in English.

    As always in Finnish language, there


    are rules you have to learn to form
    the imperfect correctly.

    The first rule: You use the stem you


    would use in the present tense.

    The second rule: You leave the


    personal ending out in the
