SINULOG CELEBRATION

‘REFRESHMENT BOOTH’

I - Explanation

Sinulog is a cultural and religious festival celebrated here in Cebu, Sinulog is held annually on the
third Sunday of January. The Sinulog Festival has deep religious significance as it honors the Santo
Nino, or the Holy Child Jesus. This festival attracts millions of local and international tourists who
come to witness the colorful and lively celebrations. Green rose center for academe traditionally
celebrates Sinulog festival every last Sunday of January. The school prepared an exciting and fun
program this coming last Sunday of January ( Jan 28, 2024). This engage students in activities that
promote an understanding of the cultural and religious aspects of this festival, this can serve as a
way to instill a sense of pride in local traditions and foster community spirit among to our dear
greenian students.

In addition to this, the Supreme Student Government Organization (JHS - DEPARTMENT) proposed
this ‘refreshment booth’ in order to help students relax their mind and body during the Sinulog
Festival. The SSG - JHS also aims to let students relieve the stress brought by the presentations they
had prepared. With our SSG - JHS President (Meca, Jielah Khu) as the spearhead committee together
with our SSG - JHS Treasurer (Retuya, Xeisha Mhia) and our SSG - JHS P.I.O (Fernandez, Jhairen) as
assistant committees, We SSG - JHS hoping to give the students the amusement and relaxing station
during the Sinulog Festival.

II - Objectives

After this activity, students are expected to:

-relieve the stress

-to relax their mind and body

-station for students who feel thirsty, they must regain their energy for the said event
