TIME
I. Birthday months.
Write about birthdays of your friends or family members. Write five sentences.

Example:
My birthday is in September. Erazem’s birthday is in March. My mother’s birthday is in
April. My sister’s birthday is in January. …

II. My favourite month of the year.


Which is your favourite month? Why? Write about your favourite month of the year.
Use the texts below as a model.

December: My Favorite Month of the Year


December is my favourite month of the year for several reasons. First of all, it’s my birthday month.
It’s also the month of my favourite holiday – Christmas! I just love Christmas, with all the lights,
decorations, and presents. December is also time to celebrate New Year. December is a winter month
and there is usually a lot of snow. I really like December because I have lot of fun during this month.

August: My Favorite Month of the Year


There are many things I love about August. First of all, it’s my birthday month. It’s great because
there are no other holidays the whole month! I feel bad for the children who have a birthday around
Christmas when you get presents anyway! August is a summer month. It’s warm and sunny, and you
can go swimming and spend a lot of time outdoors. And most importantly, there is no school! August
is the last month of freedom before school starts.

III. My school bag.


What have you got at school today? What is or isn’t there in your school bag today?
Write five sentences. Use these words:

We’ve got twelve school subjects.

My favourite school subjects are Sport, Music, Art and History.

V. The school timetable.


Choose a day of the week and write your timetable.

VI. The school timetable.


Look at Anna’s timetable on page 85 in your coursebook. Compare it with your
timetable. Write four sentences.

Example:
She’s got double Maths on Thursdays. I’ve got double Maths on Mondays.
She’s got RE on Wednesdays. We haven’t got RE.
She’s got only one lesson of Music a week. We’ve got two lessons of Music a week.
VII. What I am good at.
Write about your talents and the school subjects you are good at. Use the
prompts and the texts below to help you.

Prompts:

• I am sporty. I am a good athlete.
• I am a do-it-yourself person. I’m very practical. / I’m very good with my
hands. / I like doing things with my hands.
• What are you good at? – I am good at skiing/cooking.

Example:
I’m an artist. I like drawing and painting. I like taking photographs. I’m musical too. I play
the clarinet and I sing in the school choir. I’m good at making music videos with a mobile
phone. I’m good at Music and Art. They are my favourite subjects. I’m a sporty person too.
I like PE very much and I’m very good at it.

I am a do-it-yourself person. I like doing things with my hands. I am good at repairing


things, and I like cooking too. My favourite subjects are Craft and Cooking.

VIII. My after-school activities.


Write what after-school activities you have got and when you have got them. If you
haven’t got many or any, write about those you would like to have. Use these words:

X. Work and play.


a. Write about a friend or someone in your family. Write three true sentences about what
this person does and three true sentences about what he or she doesn’t do.
Use these verbs:

b. Now write four true sentences about yourself.

XI. My life after school.


Write about the things you do after school. Write five sentences. Use these words to
help you:

• 13.30 – go back to the bakery
