Good Morning Everyone . A warm welcome to all our esteemed guests


gathered here at Amity University Uttar Pradesh for the birth anniversary
celebration of the revered freedom fighter, Lala Lajpat Rai. We are
honoured to have you join us in commemorating this significant occasion
as part of our university's commitment to celebrating the lives of our
nation's heroic freedom fighters. Your presence adds great value to this
tribute, and we look forward to an inspiring and enlightening event
together. Welcome, and thank you for being a part of this special day.

Lala Lajpat Rai was a prominent Indian freedom fighter and a key leader
in the struggle against British colonial rule. Born on January 28, 1865, he
played a crucial role in the Indian independence movement, advocating for
self-rule and social reforms. Rai was part of the trio known as "Lal-Bal-
Pal" along with Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Bipin Chandra Pal, working
towards the common goal of liberating India from British oppression. His
fearless activism, commitment to justice, and contributions to education
left a lasting legacy in India's history.
Lala Lajpat Rai was actively involved in various socio-political
movements, including the non-cooperation movement and the civil
disobedience movement.

thought-provoking words with us today. Your wisdom has left an indelible
mark on our minds, and your insights will undoubtedly resonate with
everyone present. We are privileged to have had the opportunity to benefit
from your experiences and knowledge. Thank you for enriching our event
with your presence and inspiring us all.

Moving on further in this celebration , we have a line of cultural


presentations , starting with Poem Recitation by Ms Anushka student of
MBA IB , the name of the poem is Unka Naam

"Unka Naam" is a poignant poem penned by Lala Lajpat Rai, one of


India's prominent freedom fighters. In this poem, Rai beautifully
encapsulates the essence of sacrifice and patriotism. Written during a time
of intense struggle against British colonial rule, the poem pays tribute to
those who laid down their lives for the cause of India's independence. Rai's
verses convey a deep sense of reverence for the unnamed heroes and their
selfless contributions, fostering a spirit of unity and resilience among
fellow countrymen.
The poem stands as a timeless ode to the unsung heroes who played
crucial roles in shaping the destiny of a nation yearning for freedom.

Next we have a group song presented by Mr Arayamik and the team of
BBA Business Intelligence and Development Analysis , the song is
Chunari Laharaiye

"Chunari Laharaiye" is a soulful Hindi song that often resonates with


themes of celebration and cultural vibrancy. Known for its catchy tunes
and poetic lyrics, the song has been featured in various Bollywood films
and is often associated with festive occasions. The lyrics typically
celebrate the beauty of traditional attire, like the "chunari" (scarf)
referenced in the title, and evoke a sense of joy and enthusiasm. The music
and rhythm of "Chunari Laharaiye" contribute to its popularity as a lively
and uplifting composition.

This was indeed an amazing performance .

Next , we have book review by students of literary club who would be


reviewing books written by Shri Lala Lajpat Rai , a prominent figure in
India's struggle for independence, was instrumental not only in political
activism but also in the establishment of educational and social
institutions. These institutions, rooted in Rai's vision, continue to stand as
lasting pillars in the realms of finance and education, reflecting his
commitment to holistic nation-building during a pivotal period in Indian
history.

the students of the cultural club .

contributions, and we look forward to the Group Vice Chancellor
presenting this token as a symbol of our sincere appreciation. Thank you
for being a valuable part of this special occasion.
Our deepest gratitude to our chief guest for gracing this occasion with their
wisdom and inspiring words. Your presence has added immense
significance to the commemoration.
A special acknowledgment to the Group Vice Chancellor for their
continuous support and encouragement, steering our institution toward
excellence. I extend appreciation to our dedicated teachers whose tireless
efforts made this event possible. Your commitment to fostering a sense of
respect and admiration for historical figures like Lala Rajpat Rai is
commendable. Lastly, a big thank you to our enthusiastic students. Your
active participation and enthusiasm have brought life to this celebration.
Together, we've honored the legacy of Lala Rajpat Rai in a manner
befitting his contributions to our nation's history.

We would like to share an inspiring quote written by the Lion King of


Punjab which says

“The end is the freedom to live… according to our own conception of


what life should be, to pursue our own ideals to develop our own
personality and to secure that unity of purpose which would distinguish us
from the other Nations of the world."
