filament.* The H zones are the areas in the center of the A bands containing only thick
filament. In vertebrates Cardiac Muscles: are only found in the heart. Muscles cells are
branched, and the junctions between the cells contain intercalated discs that electrically
connect all heart muscle cells with each other, allowing the co ordinated actions. These
cells can also create their own action potentials. In Smooth Muscles: There are no
striations and contain less myosin; the myosin is not associated with specific actin strand.

It may be nice to know what other people are thinking about, but that it is like invading
his/her space. It is a law for people not to break into other people s houses. Thoughts
are like people s mental houses, so it would feel wrong to break into them. Also,
seeing someone s thoughts would make me see him/her in a different light. It could

hand drawn piece on paper using an ancient writing method called silverpoint. Lori s
style is a mixture of surrealistic, grotesque and contemporary pop. Her process
consists of hand drawing either with silverpoint or color pencils and then uses wax to
layer the drawings to create one piece like a collage. At first glance this piece captures
the audiences eyes on the two women who are main characters. One woman is in full
armor with her eyes closed while the other woman is floating next to her gazing upon
her. The piece definitely has a surrealistic feel, almost like the audience is looking into
the woman s dream especially since the woman floating has a dress on with the words

there is an intended hidden message intended for the audience to discover. Created in

currently located at the Cumberland Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee. The main character
of the piece is a woman wearing medieval armor like a knight and she has on a headpiece
consisting of thorns and horns of an animal like a deer. Her eyes are closed like she is

Reflection for Co Teaching This semester was my first time working with 3rd graders at
an IB school. This type of school is structured much differently than all the other
elementary schools in Jefferson County. The curriculum at this school is a concept driven
curriculum that helps students construct meaning through improved critical thinking
skills. This means that the lessons taught are inquiry based. Inquiry based instruction is
centered on posing questions and establishing facts through exploration rather than
simply presenting the facts to the students. With that being said, my cooperating teacher
(CT) planned a very interactive Science lesson to get his students engaged in learningand
doing Science. My CT told me that he did not have a specific book to teach with, yet
he had essential questions and standards that needed to be met in Science. The lesson
was centered on the 3rd grade Colorado academic standard 2, concept 2, which
pertained to the concept of the duration and timing of life cycle events in different
organisms. The essential question of how humans can have a negative or positive
impact on the life cycle of animals and insects was also a guiding factor in the lesson.
My CT and one of his co workers that taught 3rd grade came up with this lesson with the
help of the ButterflyPavilion, who provided specimens, exploration, and butterfly holder
nets for the classroom.

In Monster by Walter Dean Myers, Steve Harmon is a normal 16 year old except for
the fact he is on trial for something he believes he didn t do. He thinks he s telling the
truth, but can one really know that. Murderer, liar, and monster Steve have been
