    B. Sing songs and reciting rhymes.
    C. Recite the standards for the english class

    III. Learning Content 1.Topic: Setting of Standards for the Class
    Learning English Songs and Rhymes
    2. Materials: Laptop, PPT, Worksheets
    3. References: English 1 Pivot Module Q3
    4. Values Integration: Show confident in pronouncing rhyme
    words
    5. Integration: MAPEH (song, rhymes, poems)
    IV. LEARNING ACTIVITIES 1. Introduction
    A. Preparatory Activities Introducing the learning standards
    1. How do we sit? Sit properly
    2. How do we listen ? Listen attentively.
    3.How do we participate? Participate actively.
    4.When you are called to recite? Stand straight and speak
    clearly.
    Model the standards , and let the pupils repeat after the
    teacher. Teacher may also teach an english song for rest exercises.

    2. Drill
    Direction: Post the following word.
    Let the children read the words.

    pen-men

    3. Review.
    Direction: What are the missing letters inside the box.

    Words are formed by combining the letters of alphabet. It is


    important to remember that the English alphabet is composed of
    26 letters with 5 vowels and 21 consonants.
    B. Developmental Activities Directions: Match the rhyming words and let the pupils read.

    What is Rhyming Words?


     Words that have the same ending sounds re calles
    Rhyming Words. These words are very common in songs,
    poems, and nursery rhymes.

    Read the examples of rhyming words.

    4. Tree – free 14. Read - lead

    10. Kit – bit 20. Bone – cone

    4.Fixing Skills A. Direction: Site the rhyming words in the poem and let the pupils
    read it.

    5. Application (Group Activity) Direction: Identify the missing rhyming words for each nursery
    rhyme. Select your answer from the given choice.

    6. Generalization Remember: Words that have the same ending sounds are called
    Rhyming Words. These words are very common in songs, poems,
    and nursery rhymes.
