III. PROCEDURE

Teacher’s Activity Pupil’s Activity

A. Preliminary Activities

a. Prayer (students will stand up and start

praying)
Please let us all stand up for a prayer.

new lesson. Are you excited?
Okay, let’s start.

d. Review

But before anything else, let us have a

short review of our previous lesson.
What was our previous lesson last Different kinds of angles ma’am.
meeting?

Okay, very good!

So let’s us know if you still remember

them.
1.

What angle is presented in number 1? Right angle ma’am.

Correct!

2.

Next, what angle is this? Obtuse angle ma’am.

Very good!

3.

Now how about the last picture Acute angle ma’am.

presented? What kind of angle is this?

Great job everyone! It looks like you still

remember our previous lesson.

e. Motivation

The Math class of Mr. Reposas draws

two kinds of polygons. Two girls showed
their drawings. Dioleta drew a 3-sided
polygon, while Lolita drew a 4-sided
polygon.

3-sided polygon 4-sided polygon

Let us know first what is a polygon.
-A Polygon is a closed figure made up of
several line segments that are joined
together.

Now, back to our given problem, what

do you call a 3-sided polygon? What
about a 4-sided polygon?
(student’s answer may vary)
Very good!

f. Presenting of the lesson

Today, we will be learning about

triangles and quadrilaterals. In this
lesson, you will be describing what is
triangle and quadrilateral

Are you ready class?

Yes ma’am!

B. Development of the lesson

A. ACTIVITY

To start, I will divide the class into 4

groups. All you have to do is to identify
whether it is triangle or quadrilateral.

Group 1

Triangle

Group 2

Quadrilateral

Group 3

Quadrilateral
Group 4

Triangle

Now, let’s check your work.

(the class will present their answers on
the board)
Good job everyone! Give yourselves
around of applause. (students will clap their hands)

B. ANALYSIS

What do you feel about the activity?

(student’s answer may vary)
Were you able to answer the activity
given? Yes ma’am!

What shapes did you observed?

(student’s answer may vary)
Very good!

To know more about our lesson, let’s

discuss it one by one.

C. ABSTRACTION

Triangles- A Triangle is a 3-sided polygon

that have 3 Angles and 3 Vertices. In
order words, Triangle is a simple closed
curved made up of three line segments.

Examples:

Quadrilaterals- Quadrilateral is a four-

sided polygon, having four edges and
four corners. The word is derived from
the Latin words quadri, a variant of four,
and latus, meaning "side".

Examples:
IV. EVALUATION

Identify if the illustrations below is triangles or quadrilaterals.

1. 2. 3. 4.

5.

V. ASSIGNMENT
