Dosing
WATERGUARD S will not effect the appearance or taste of water in any way. It is approved by the
UK Drinking Water Inspectorate for treatment of potable water.
Application
WATERGUARD S treatment should be continuously dosed to maintain a silica level of 8-10ppm
above the raw water silica content. For automatic proportional dosing the use of a packaged
watermeter controlled dosing set is advised.

Product Name WATERGUARD (S)
Health Hazards
An alkaline material which may cause caustic burns to skin and eyes, the danger greater with hot
liquid.
Harmful by ingestion causing internal irritation.
First Aid:
Skin Exposure: Wash affected area with plenty of water and remove contaminated clothing. If irritation
develops, seek medical attention.
Eye Exposure: Speed is essential. The eye should be thoroughly irrigated for not less than 20 minutes
with clean water. This prolonged irrigation is of extreme importance and must be done
at once otherwise permanent damage will result. Continue irrigation until medical
attention can be obtained.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water and give sips of water or milk to drink to soothe the affected
parts. Do not induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention.
Storage
Keep container tightly closed.
Keep from freezing.
Handling
Avoid contact with skin or eyes.
Wear suitable non-porous clothing, gloves and eye protection.
Spillage
Flush spillage with plenty of water and wash to waste.
Small or large spills: Contain with sand and transfer to a polyethylene bucket for neutralisation and disposal, wash residual
liquid to drain with copious amounts of water.
Disposal
Wash out empty container thoroughly with water before disposal.
