1.1 Introduction
Drug abuse leads to a wide range of health problems, including
addiction, overdose, and physical and mental health issues. Long-term drug
use can damage vital organs such as the liver, heart, and brain. Additionally,
drug use increases the risk of contracting infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS
and hepatitis through needle sharing. The drugs are one of the common
problem that the Philippines have in the past few decades and until in the
present era. The victims is commonly youths, student, and the people who live
in the poverty rate. : Drug addiction often leads to criminal activities as
individuals resort to theft, robbery, and drug trafficking to support their
addiction. These illicit activities contribute to the overall crime rate in society
and can lead to violence and instability in communities. . Additionally, drug
abuse often results in decreased work productivity, lost wages, and increased
welfare dependency. Substance abuse affects not only the individual but also
their family and social relationships.
Drug abuse and illegal drug trafficking are significant issues that have
adverse effects on individuals and society as a whole. Developing a drug
scanning system with alarming notification can help address these problems by
providing a technological solution to detect and prevent drug-related
incidents. This thesis title suggests a research study focusing on the
development of a drug scanning system that can detect the presence of
prohibited substances. Such a system could be implemented in various
settings, such as airports, seaports, border crossings, and even public events or
venues. The alarming notification aspect of the system is crucial because it
ensures immediate action can be taken when drugs are detected. This feature
could include an audible alarm, visual alerts, or even automated messages to
relevant authorities, enabling swift intervention and preventing drug
trafficking or drug abuse from occurring.
The Limitation of this system, it is only detect the common drugs that we call
“shabu” and not applicable to detect another drugs like cocaine and
marihuana. This system also can’t detect the amount of the drug that was
detected.

This diagram depicts how the Drug scanning system works and how a drug is detected using a mobile
phone. This diagram also depicts the project's algorithm or step-by-step process
Advantages
The system is designed with a user-friendly interface, making it easy for users
to operate and understand the results of the scanning process, it is also
designed with a user-friendly interface, making it easy for users to operate and
understand the results of the scanning process. The presence of a drug
scanning system with alarming notification can serve as a deterrent to
counterfeiters, as they know their activities will be detected and reported.
DESIGN
The administrator will have full control and access to the system. They will be
responsible for managing user setting up and configuring of the drug scanning
parameters, and generating reports. The system must adhere to strict security
measures to protect sensitive data, including personally identifiable
information and results. This requirements analysis is a starting point and may
require further refinement and collaboration with stakeholders to provide a
comprehensive analysis.
Input part
The input part of this title would most likely refer to the process or technology
used to scan drugs. There will be a device use to captures visual data of the
drugs and creates digital images or videos.
Detection part
Detection part involves analyzing the results obtained from the scan to identify
either positive or negative and any substances or drugs present.
