ANALYSIS of BATI
’Bati‘ is a short film by Arel Quijote. They share their official entry in the 4 th Sine Agila Film
Festival. The film really touched each viewers heart because it is a thought-provoking short film
about family, culture and one’s aspiration.Bati is a thought-provoking short film that offers a
poignant exploration of family, culture, and the pursuit of one’s aspirations which follows the
story of a perseverant student who is persistent to go to college, but, as his entrance examination
is coming, he ran into peculiar events that made him suffer with an unknown illness.
The cinematography, acting and the characters really did a good job in helping to tell the story.
The film really captures the heart of each viewers. The characters really did a good job in
expressing emotions. Overall, the film was all good. It shows different perspective in life. The
characters, story, plot and setting did a good job at all.
ANALYSIS of BAHAGHARINAWA
Bahagharinawa is a film by King Pizarro. This film really amazed the viewers because some of
us can relate about it. It talks about how the characters find answers on their questions. It talks
more on self reflection. JACINTO, a boy who grew up in a very religious community, found out
that he was getting confused about his gender. Because of the religious people who impose
“GAY” as a sinful abomination, he gravely thinks that his feelings are invalid, yet curable. His
faith are driving him to not be gay and get rid of his confusion. Him, being an active member of
a religious organization, he joined the Marian Youth Vigil at Sanchez Mirra, Cagayan.
Accidentally upon arriving at Tuguegarao City, he lost his direction because of his first-time
travel. He met a mysterious beggar who introduced to him the “TAGAY PLANT”, a plant that
has historical connection of the Cagayan. The beggar told Jacinto that this plant can treat
anything, and it gave Jacinto the idea of looking for this mysterious plant out of curiosity. He
decided to search for this plant after meeting Althea, a homeless girl who will be his unexpected
companion for searching the Tagay Plant. Their adventure for finding the plant will be Jacinto’s
faith towards his reconciliation over his feelings he cannot accept. That he is GAY. The
cinematography, acting and the characters really did a good job in helping to tell the story. This
film really captures the heart of each viewers. The characters really did a good job in expressing
emotions. The film was all good. It shows different discoveries on yourself and how much effort
you’re willing to apply to find answers. The characters, story, plot and setting did a good job at
all.

ANALYSIS of PAMMATI
Pammati is a film by Mark Dave Dela Fuenta, it is produced by Liwliwa productions. This film
really relates in today’s situation that’s why some of us really touched about this. It is the quest
towards Healing the Rift in Medicine Fields and discovering how empathy and understanding
can bridge the gap between healthcare providers and patients. The film goes with this; Jessa and
Odessa were foundlings who grew in an impoverished family. They were unable to identify the
sickness that had been plaguing Odessa. Due to their unstable financial situation, Jessa, the
family’s primary provider, attempted everything to get her to the hospital but ended up to a faith
healer. The film made us realize that sometimes due to financial problems there are things that
we can’t do. Also, after watching this , we discover that there are still many people that believe in
faith healers and etc. they still rely their lives on them , they are still doing the old tradition.
Overall, the film, it’s cinematography, acting and characters really did a great job. The film also
relates in real life situations making it more exciting to watch. It was all good.
ANALYSIS of PEMWHORE
Pemwhore is a film by Sean Andrei Bagaoisan, produced by Tan Aw Films Ext. This film really
suits in today’s generation. From the word “Whore” ( famewhore) which is basically a person
who like to spread and create different stories. The film was good because there are people who’s
like Pem that’s why it makes the film worthy to watch. The story is all about, Pem, a film maker
and communication student, strives to come up with the ideal storyline. When she decides to
fabricate a narrative about Cagayan for the sake of fame, she finds herself in a sticky situation.
The cinematography, acting and the characters really did a good job in helping to tell the story.
This film really captures the heart of each viewers. The characters really did a good job in
expressing emotions. The film was all good. We learn a lot of lessons after watching this. The
characters, story, plot and setting did a good job at all.
