D) Rationale :
Electrical cabling and wiring plays a major role in transmitting and distributing electrical power from
electric utilities to end user. For effective power transmission and distribution to electrical load,
installations such as residential, commercial and Industrial, the practicing technician should have a
thorough knowledge of the Overhead and underground wiring schemes as per standards. Apart from
this he/she should be able to prepare estimates of electrical cabling, wiring and fitting for various
installations with a thorough understanding of the standard practices of code of wiring and
installations. This course will help diploma pass outs to estimate the cost of electrical wiring, cabling
and fitting work etc. required in the field.
