FINE MOTOR DEVELOPMENT

TOPIC: LACING
RESOURCES: Large sturdy lacing cards, Shapes, and images with punched holes.
AGE GROUP: 3-4 years
METHOD: Today we are going to do a fun activity called lacing. We have cool images
with hole and strings see how I put the strings through the holes pick a image and let’s do
it together. You start by putting the string through the holes just like this.
ACTIVITY: 1 Lacing the sturdy cards

AGE GROUP: 4-5 years

VARIATION: 1 Lacing in a specific sequence to form a complete picture
2 Create lacing cards based on popular themes or cartoons.

AGE GROUP: 3 to 4 years


METHOD: Gather children in a comfortable zone. You might say guess what it's story
time! Who is ready to hear a fantastic tale?
Today's story is about Lazy Raju his characteristics, characters and all the
props used in the story and narrate the story.

ACTIVITY: 1. Craft time encourage them to create crafts related to the story.
2. Allow children to take on roles and narrate the story using the puppets.
3. Allow them to express their thoughts and feelings.

AGE GROUP: 4 to 6 years


METHOD: Tell them we are going to see a puppet show. Narrate the story in proper
voice modulation.
Pause and occasionally ask questions encourage critical thinking and
imagination.

METHOD: Today we are going to learn position or location off the objects relating
the words like in, on, under, above, up, down.
ACTIVITY: 1. Preposition hunt, example find the toy under the table
2. Simon Says example put your hands on your head.
3. Jump in and out of the shape drawn on the floor.
4. Crawl under the chair.

AGE GROUP: 4 to 6 years


METHOD: Today we are going to see position through puppet show.
ACTIVITY: 1. Preposition charades example act as the preposition and encourage
kids to guess the correct preposition.
2.Preposition puzzles ask kids do match the preposition to the
appropriate images.
3. Nature walk ask the kids to describe the location of objects using
preposition.
VARIATIONS:1. Crafts and arts with preposition example ask children to place objects in
different positions
