SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN FOR GRADE 10 - GALILEO

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. discuss the meaning of feminist approach and its guide questions;
b. critique stories using feminist approach using the given guide questions;
and
c. relate feminist approach in real life perspectives upon observing our
current environment.

GIRL POWER!
Using the graphic organizer below, write one word in each circle that you think is
related to the word FEMINISM. Write it in a one-half crosswise. You’ll be given
three (3) minutes to finish this task.

b. Presentation of the lesson


The new topic will be presented through an activity, “Girl Power!” where students
wrote five words that they think are related to the word “Feminism.”

c. Discussion
a. Define the meaning of Feminist Approach
b. Discuss the questions to consider in critiquing a literary piece using feminist
approach.
c. Provide an example of feminist literary criticism through the story, “The
Lottery.”

d. Enrichment
Take a stand in each statement by raising your flag “Strongly Agree” and
“Strongly Disagree.”
1. All women should be feminists.
2. Feminism should include the rights and needs of transwomen.
3. Feminism should include all issues that impact women, including
environmental justice and immigrants’ rights.
4. The feminist movement should be inclusive to all people who want to
participate.
5. We don’t need feminism anymore.

e. Application
Critique the short story assigned to you using the feminist approach. Use the
guide questions discussed to accomplish this task. You will be given 15 minutes
to finish it.

upon observing our current environment about how women were being
described by the people?
