Dr John Baboukis Choir Ensemble

Initially, thank you for your interest in hosting the Classical Choir Ensemble. Our performances
require specific technical arrangements to ensure a high-quality musical experience. Please
review the following technical rider to prepare for our upcoming show. For any questions or
concerns regarding the technical requirements, feel free to contact us in advance at

Stage and Audience Set-Up:


1. Stage Set-Up:
 Number of Choir Members: 6
 Music Stands: One per choir member
 Conductor's Podium
 Piano
 2 condenser microphones for the choir
 2 microphones for the piano
 1 microphone for the Qanoon
 1 microphone for the harpsichords
2. Audience Set-Up:
 Quality House Sound System
 Adequate Stage Lighting
Complete Set-Up:
1. Choir Members:
 Members will bring their own sheet music, but stands should be provided.
 6-foot spacing between choir members.
 Adequate lighting for sheet music visibility.
2. Piano/Keyboard:
 Grand piano or professional-grade keyboard.
 Piano bench.
 1 condenser microphone positioned on the lower notes.
 1 condenser microphone positioned on the higher notes.
3. Qanoon:
 The player will come with his own Qanoon.
 1 condenser microphone needed for the Qanoon.
4. Harpsichord:
 We will provide you with the harpsichord before the event.
 1condenser microphone needed for the harpsichord.
5. Microphones:
 Choir members do not require individual microphones.
 Two high-quality condenser microphones for the choir such as NT-5 or similar.
6. Monitors:
 Quality stage monitors for conductor
 Monitors should be positioned for optimal sound coverage.
7. Sound System:
 House sound system with clear and balanced audio.
 Sound engineer to ensure proper levels and mix.
8. Stage Lighting:
 Adequate and adjustable lighting to illuminate the choir and conductor.
9. Additional Information:
 The choir will provide a detailed repertoire list in advance.
 The choir will arrive 4-5 hours before the show for setup.
 No additional sound engineer is required; however, technical support is
appreciated.
 Bottled water should be available for all choir members.
