A developing country like India has to keep pace with the

rapid changes the world over. Noticing that while Andhra
Pradesh produces a record number of professional graduates
each year, but not all are trained to be industry-ready. So to fill
that void a visionary group of academicians founded the
Creative Educational Society (CES). Under the Society, two
institutions were established – Creative Educational Society's
Conceptual panorama of CESCOP College of Pharmacy (CESCOP) and Brindavan Institute of
Technology and Science (BITS).
CESCOP was established in the year 2006 with a vision to
produce world-class pharmacy professionals who are
industry-ready. The CES College of Pharmacy is being further
developed as a center of excellence for world-class pharmacy
education and research. With a committed team of
professionals and experienced faculty, CESCOP has become a
force to reckon with in pharmaceutical educational and

Established in the year 2008, Brindavan Institute of
Technology and Science began with a dream to impart the
best-in-class engineering education and provide a strong
career background to students pursuing the various
disciplines of engineering. With aspirations and a matching
intelligence BITS is on its quest of trailblazing successes and
memorable victories.

today the hub of activity on the BITS campus. Led by a team

whole spectrum of applications that help train students.
The high-end computer lab is home to high end servers and
high configuration computers. The Internet lab with high
speed broadband allows free access to students in search of
knowledge. The modern hi-tech environment is a constant
source of inspiration for students being molded to be industry-
ready and a powerhouse of knowledge.

Students in the Department of Electrical & Electronics

Engineering represent the face of the future. A highly
experienced team of faculty members ensure that each
student is a powerhouse of knowledge and equally at ease
with the practical aspects of the curriculum. The
knowledge transfer process is one that involves close
interaction and mentoring by the faculty who are
committed to turn students into professionals.
Students grasp the minute intricacies of Electrical
Machines, Control Systems, Electronics & Computers
and Power Systems. They are also additionally trained to
create research papers/experiments that make them future
centric and that also prepares them to face real life-like
situations thereby making them Industry-ready with all
the requisite skills.

Look around and you’ll find very few appliances or objects

that do not involve the expertise of a Mechanical
Engineer. In fact every motor that moves needs a
mechanical engineer. Mechanical Engineers use a variety
of technologies to run applications including Computer
Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing
(CAM), Analysis and Manufacturing Sciences and Design
& Development of robots, automobiles, aircrafts, ships
and a wide variety of micro mechanical systems.
The insitute has incorporated ever new developments into
its already strong Mechanical Department and also
additionally established a state-of-the-art Robotics Lab for
an unprecedented technological edge. The Department
also boasts of experienced faculty who guide students all
through their quest for excellence.

The Art of
Speaking Eloquently

Students of first year are imparted with basic knowledge of

science and concepts which acts as vigour to engineering
education. The objective of the department while
imparting knowledge of basic services to engineering
students and reinforcing that the marvels of engineering
are indeed the applications of mathematics, physics and
chemistry. The department also hones the English
language proficiency of students thus helping them in
personal and professional development requirements.

The department is very active in providing training to the

students for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, CAT and motivate the
students to face competitive examinations.

Good faculty is always the hallmark of a good college and
at BITS, our faculty stands out as immensely experienced
and vastly skilled. All our faculty members are ardently
committed and dedicated towards the upliftment and
empowerment of students.
Professorship is a crucial position which is ought to be
revered and our professors take pride in what they do, for
they live the most selfless lives. Every professor was a
student and the best professors never stop learning, at
BITS, we encourage our professors to soar higher.
Our Professors are keen in utilizing the most modern
teaching aids like Interactive Board besides LCD
projectors and OHP’s. Peer mentoring is a common
phenomenon here to make our students realize their best
aspirations. The class committee of each class plays an
important role in designing the curriculum delivery
methodologies which ensure learner centric approach.
The Power of
Knowledge
Library is the powerhouse of knowledge and our library has
a comprehensive collection with a vast area of 544 Sq.m,
which comprises of around 20000 volumes with about
2000 titles. The library has 42 referred international
journals and 50 national journals, therefore providing our
students with opportunities to reap great benefits. Besides
which, three English and four Telugu dailies facilitate
students to stay updated.

Sports & Co-curricular

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Taking

a cue from this adage, Brindavan Institute of
Technology & Science encourages its students to
participate and excel in all other areas of
recreation and entertainment for the holistic
development of students. These apart, co-curricular
activities are the best training ground for students
to overcome stage fear, improve confidence levels,
instill a sense of camaraderie, social responsibility
and a share and care attitude. BITS students could
make a hallmark in all these events within the
short period of its existence winning several prizes
in various competitions in the state.
Sports meets, inter college competitions,
personality development sessions, seminars and
panel discussions are events that are much
awaited by students on the campus. Kousalotsav
and Srujana are the annual events particularly
cherished by the students.

Our bus facilities are well connected across Kurnool town.

Students get to enjoy and travel in good quality buses.
The Canteen is in the heart of the college campus and dolls
out delicious food. A host of 400 students can use the
canteen at a time. The canteen works from 7.30am to
6.00pm.
The college runs a girls' hostel within the campus behind
the college building. It is located amidst greenery and the
rooms are spacious and well ventilated. It is in three floors
and the ground floor has a modern mess, study room,
visitor’s room and a Netcafe. The dining hall is very
spacious and always neatly maintained.

The college has an exclusive placement division, the

Department of Placement & Career Development which
takes care of placing the students and promoting them for
higher studies. Students are specially trained and mentally
conditioned appropriately so that they become industry-
ready by the time they reach the final year. The
departmental associations also play a vital role in
enhancing the domain knowledge essential for successful
career and reinforce the leadership & organizational
qualities among the students. A host of companies are
invited every year, which opens up opportunities galore to

Sri Ajit Kumar K
Governing Body Member

Sri Ajit Kumar K has served BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd.,(formerly known as M/s
B.Seenaiah and Company Projects Ltd) as Senior-Vice-President (HR) and is the Personal
Adviser to the Chairman, BSCPL Group of Companies. His strength is in teaching as well
as training and development of human resources. He is a visiting guest faculty to various
universities and management institutes in India. He is a very passionate life teacher.
He is associated with several institutions such Vignan University, Indo Asian Group of
Institutions, Bangalore, International Learning Institute, Indore, Universal Sacred Order
(NGO), Indian Society of Rural Economic Reforms(NGO), Dynamic Engineering
Corporation, Lamba Group of Companies, National Human Resource Development Net
work and the AP Chapter of Journalists Association.
He is a Governing Body member of BITS-Kurnool and profusely contributing for the
overall development of the institution.

Dr. S Nagabhushana Rao

Advisor

Dr. S.Nagabhushana Rao is a man of vast experience in project consulting. He has a doctorate
in Transportation Engineering from REC, Warangal and worked in positions like Director,
Engineering Staff College, India; Professor & Head, Transportation Engineering Department,
JNTU, Hyderabad. He was the driving force in establishing Quality Assurance Division in
APSRTC. He worked as a consultant for many prestigious projects like Construction of Central
Bus Station Complex at Gangtok (Sikkim), Junction Improvements for 42 junctions for MCH
(2000). He is also involved in Traffic Management Plans for Hyderabad Metro Rail (2009). His
meticulous planning is the guiding spirit for the vision of the college.

Dr. G S Krishna Moorthy

Advisor

Dr. G.S.Krishna Moorthy was a Professor of Civil Engineering at S.V.University, Tirupathi. He graduated in
Civil Engineering from S.V. University, acquired his master's degree in 'Structural Engineering' from
Annamalai University and Ph.D. from IIT, Madras. His research work on “Load Surveys' and 'Formulation
of criteria for Probabilistic Design' became the basis for updating the Indian Standards on Design Code
1S:875. TUDA, TTD, Chittoore District Collectorate, Tirupathi Municipal Corporation and many other
government agencies seek his technical advice on issue of quality control, analysis and assessment of Civil
Engineering works. His wise counsel is helping the college in framing effective academic policies. He is also
a member of our Governing Body.

Dr. P Jaya Kumar

Advisor

Dr P Jaya Kumar is a distinguished and multifaceted personality. He had 30 years of rich

experience as a manufacturing and management expert in ISRO where he was closely
associated with various projects under INSAT programme. He worked with the former
President of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He obtained his doctorate in
Production Engineering from IIT, Madras. He has more than a decade of academic experience.
He has rendered his most valued services to BITS for more than 2 years in the capacity of
Director and is now on the board of Advisors taking part in all the developmental activities.
 Prof. N. Siva Prasad Reddy
Director (Academics)

Prof. N. Siva Prasad Reddy is an academician par excellence and a teacher of

high repute with more than 22 years of experience. He has an experience of
18 years in G Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool in various academic
and administrative positions and as the Principal of SVCET, Chittoor for a
period of two years.
Besides being a fellow of Institution of Engineers, life member of ISTE, Indian
Association for Environmental Management, he is also a former member of
CFO Committee, External Advisory Committee, AP Pollution Control
Board, Zonal & Regional Offices, Kurnool and Chairman, Board of Studies of
Civil Engg., S.K.University. His administrative acumen is helping the college
in maintaining organized, disciplined, professional ambience.

Dr. TSS Balaji

Principal

Dr. TSS Balaji received B.Tech.(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in the year

1986 from National Institute of Technology (formerly Regional Engineering
College) Calicut. With an M.Tech in Industrial Engineering from the same
institution in the year 1988, he has received his Ph.D. in Mechanical
Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad.
More than two decades of teaching experience which includes 7 years of
academic administration makes Dr. TSS Balaji a seasoned campaigner. He is
member of Institution of Engineers (India), Life member of Operations
Research Society of India, Indian National Science Congress and ISTE.

Prof. P. Girish Reddy

Vice-Principal

Prof. P. Girish Reddy has an extensive teaching experience of 22 years which

includes 17 years at G Pulla Reddy Engineering College, Kurnool, and is
remarkably active in any constructive activity aimed at the progress of the
college. He is a life member of ISTE and member of CFO Committee, External
Advisory Committee, A.P. Pollution Control Board, Zonal Office, Kurnool. Prof.
P. Girish Reddy's co-ordination and amicableness has been fostering strong intra
and inter-institutional relations.

Dr. V Veeranna
Dean(R&D)

Dr. V. VEERANNA (M.Tech, PhD); is the Dean R & D of our college. He has 20
years of experience in teaching and research; more than 20 papers were published in
various journals and conferences. He worked as principal of S.S.N Engineering
College, Ongole and Sreenivasa College of Engineering and Technology, Kurnool.
He is the Fellow member of The Institution of Engineers (India) and life member of
the Indian Society for Technical Education.
