Background

Money is a medium of exchange and is used for different purposes. A person should avoid impulse
buying, there is need to draft a proper budget with ones needs.

Introduction

Many people cannot budget their needs as a result of failure of payment of the needs. A budget is a
calculation plan, usually but not always financial. A budget may include sales, volumes and revenues.
Companies, governments, families and other organizations use budgets to express strategic plans of
activities in measurable terms.

Definition of terms

Budget - allow or provide a particular amount of money

Medium of exchange - an intermediary instrument or system used to facilitate the purchase and sale
of goods and services between two parties.

Impulse buying - the buying of goods without planning.

Needs – require (something) because it is essential or very important rather than just desirable

Basic items – essential human needs associated with the survival of human beings. People cannot
survive in the absence of these things.

Ten basic items for a family are:

Conclusion

Budgeting is something someone must be able to do before they start their own life. Creating

● Adults who do not understand budgeting must be taught about budgeting until they
understand.
