1. Describe the important land forms and water forms in Central America and the
Caribbean.

 The Caribbean consists of approximately 7,000 islands bounded by the Atlantic,


Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. The atmosphere is tropical. The storm season
usually occurs between May and October. The bumpy neighborhoods of Central
America offer a cooler atmosphere. PNW's main general climate type is mild. It
has both temperate and four seasons, but the harsh, dry atmosphere affects
many of the locally poorly served or inland areas. In most coastal areas between
the sea and High Mountains, a maritime atmosphere prevails.

2. What is the important contribution of Panama Canal in the Caribbean region?

 One of the most important infrastructures facilitating the free movement of


goods and trade in the Western Hemisphere is the Panama Canal, which
connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

3. Describe the natural resources in Central America and the Caribbean.

 The natural resources that we will found in Central American are Nickel, iron
ore, fish, lumber, and petroleum. Commercial fishing has its main hub in the
Caribbean.

4. List down the Top 10 Best Places to visit in Central America and describe each.

 MONTEVERDE CLOUD - Forest Reserve Located in central Costa Rica, the


Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the country's most popular tourist
destinations due to its stunning natural beauty and abundance of activities
such as ziplining and canopy tours.
 TIKAL – Located in the rainforest of Petén State in northern Guatemala, Tikal
was one of the largest cities of the ancient Maya civilization. Archaeologists
estimate that at the height of Tikal's population, he ranged from 50,000 to
100,000. Of the many Mayan sites in Central America, Tikal is perhaps the
most stunning due to its jungle setting with its impressive temples jutting out
from the canopy.

 ROATAN – A popular diving destination and cruise ship port, Roatan is the
largest of the Gulf Islands off the east coast of Honduras. Surrounded by the
second largest barrier reef in the world, Roatan is a prime spot for diving and
snorkeling. Additionally, the island's beaches offer a variety of activities, from
swimming to kayaking to dolphin watching.
 AMBERGRIS CAYE – The largest of the hundreds of islands in Belize,
Ambergris Caye is a tropical dream destination. Dress code is shorts and flip-
flops, transportation is by golf cart, and lounging on the white sand beach is
the main activity. .
 ANTIGUA GUATEMALA – Against the backdrop of his three imposing
volcanoes in Guatemala's central highlands, the beautiful ancient colonial city
of Antigua is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations.
 PANAMA CITY – The capital and largest city of Panama, Panama City is a
modern skyscraper towering above the surrounding rainforest. Panama City
is a vibrant cosmopolitan city thriving on the development of the Panama
Canal. He is one of the best places to visit in Central America. Don't miss the
cobbled streets and colonial buildings of Casco Viejo's historic center.
 GRANADA, NICARAGUA – One of Nicaragua's largest cities, Granada is one of
the country's oldest and most important historical centers, with a rich
Spanish history and well-preserved colonial architecture. there is. Granada,
located in western Nicaragua on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, offers visitors
many attractions and activities, from tourism and outdoor recreation to arts
and culture.
 ARENAL VOLCANO - Until a few years ago, Arenal was Costa Rica's most
active volcano. Minor eruptions occurred frequently, creating an astonishing
show of spewing lava. However, in 2010, Arenal's cycle entered a dormant
phase and eruptions paused indefinitely. However, the Arenal area still has
many great sights and exciting activities to do.
 LEON, NICARAGUA – A vibrant university city and one of Nicaragua's oldest
and largest cities, Leon is the political and intellectual center of Nicaragua.
Located on the Chiquita River northwest of the capital city of Managua, León
is rich in Spanish colonial architecture, art and culture, and teeming with
students and backpackers.
 COPAN – Once an important center of Mayan government, arts, culture and
astronomy, Copan is now home to two large pyramids, several plazas, a ball
court, numerous stone temples, altars and hieroglyphics. It is a large complex
consisting of the famous Stella. Sculptures depicting ancient Mayan history,
events, beliefs and customs beans.
