Title: Flipped Classroom Lesson Plan: "The Happy Prince" by Oscar Wilde

Objective:

 Story of "The Happy Prince" by Oscar Wilde.


 Students will gain a deep understanding of the themes, characters, and symbolism in
"The Happy Prince" by Oscar Wilde.
 Students will be able to analyse the story's moral lessons and apply them to real-life
situations.
 Students will engage in critical thinking by interpreting the allegorical elements
present in the text.

Materials Needed:

 Access to online resources (videos) providing information about Oscar Wilde and
"The Happy Prince."

 Paper and pens/pencils for note-taking and activities

Pre-Class Preparation:

1. Students were provided with access to an online version of "The Happy Prince" by
Oscar Wilde.

2. Questions based on the chosen resources was created to ensure students engage

In-Class Activities:

1. Warm-up Discussion:
 Teacher began the class by asking students if they are familiar with Oscar
Wilde and if they have read any of his works before.
2. Flipped Classroom Activities:
 Students were assigned to read "The Happy Prince" by Oscar Wilde before
coming to class.
 Students were asked to read and to observe the themes and symbolism.
 Students were provide with guiding questions to consider while reading, such
as "What do you think the swallow represents?" or "How does the statue of the
prince change throughout the story?"

 Students were divided into small groups and each group was provided with a
