After Care Instructions
For Permanent Hair Strokes Eyebrows
Taking good care of your permanent makeup is crucial to achieving the best result.

Instructions
• DO NOT TOUCH BROWS FOR 10 DAYS!!!
• On the 11th day… please do the following…(doing this in front of the mirror will make this easier for you)
o With a hand soap and water mix use your BABY FINGER TIP only, start under your eye bone at the
beginning of your brow and gently motion up and over in the direction of the individual TATTOOED
hairs by using comas throughout the brows. The direction of the individual tattooed hairs are different on
each client so please follow the direction of YOUR Tattooed strokes throughout the brow.
o Rinse the site gently
o Blot dry. Do not rub with a towel or cloth.
o After blotting dry, apply after-care product provided by Accent.
o Put on a small amount of Aquaphor…with the TIP OF YOUR BABY FINGER, and do the exact same
process that you did when you washed. Do this once in the morning and at night for 4 days.
o After applying Aquaphor over brow, use the cleansing tissue provided for you and blot. Take off all of the
Aquaphor. DO NOT LEAVE AQUAPHOR ON…area should not be greasy or oily. Moist is ok
o Do this procedure: wash, tap dry, Aquaphor, and take it off for 5 days (or as long as its ashy) once in am/pm.
o PLEASE NOTE: Starting at the beginning of your eyebrow hair line… DOES NOTHING. On the contrary,
you may accidently take off your hair strokes. Please start at the bottom of your eye bone.
Please don’t apply your usual skin care product(s) on your forehead for 2 weeks. From eyes and below is ok.
• If this is the first time you have had permanent eyebrows with Accent, YOU HAVE TO come to your
complimentary touch-up appointment, scheduled about 4 weeks after the initial procedure.The touch-up procedure
ensures good color saturation and provides an opportunity to fine tune the final shape and color.

Cautions
• Do not scrub, scratch or pick tattooed areas, or you will lose color that may not be repairable.
• Do not use any product on tattooed area, except aftercare product provided by Accent.
• Products to Not Use on the tattooed area even after healed in order to prolong your color:
o Please don’t use any other products while the site is healing.
o No bleach or dye in brow area for one month following the tattoo procedure.
• Sources of premature fading:
o Expose tattooed area to sun or tanning beds without using sun block
o All anti-aging products: facial products containing Alpha Hydroxyls (AHAs), Retin-A, Lactic or Glycolic
Acids. Please read the labels on your facial products. Note that creams migrate a lot, so application
anywhere on the forehead can affect the brows.
o Anti-acne products (e.g. Benzoyl Peroxide, Pro-active) or lightening creams (bleach creams)
hydroquinone around any permanent makeup site
o Laser procedures done within 3 inches of brows
o Face peels, even mild ones
o Microdermabrasion in brow area
o Exfoliation in brow area
o Avoid pulling out gray hairs in the tattooed area (on brows) you will lose color in this area.

• Do not tweeze, wax, thread or use any hair removal products around the eyebrow area until two weeks following
the procedure. Within the tattooed area itself, do not tweeze, shave, wax or thread or use any hair removal
products in brow at all. If you need to remove hairs such as grey hairs, just trim them short or dye them.
• Be careful to avoid infection of the tattooed area for 15 days after the procedure:
o Always wash your hands before and after touching the tattooed areas
o Do not share your aftercare product with anyone
o No exercising for 24 hours.
o No swimming pools, Jacuzzis or other bodies of water for 15 days.
o Do not soak your face underwater in a bathtub or any water or allow the shower to spray directly in your
face for 15 days
• Note that tattoo inks, dyes, and pigments have not been approved by the federal food and drug administration and
that the health consequences of using these products are unknown.
• No exercising for 24 hours. For 15 days following the procedure avoid direct contact with animals, and avoid
activities that may expose the tattooed area to dirt or contaminates such as gardening.
What to Expect
• We have applied a liquid band aid type product, named Cavilon, to protect the color from coming out of each
individual hair-like tattoo. It is a skin barrier protector.
• There may be moderate swelling, redness and tenderness for the first 3 days. Apply a Ziploc bag half filled with
water and ice for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling only if necessary.
• During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some
scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.
• Expect the color to eventually lighten by up to20 % once the healing process is complete.
• Permanent Makeup does fade. Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not
last as long as body art ink.
• If you develop excessive redness, itchiness, or white pimple-like spots in the tattooed area, you may be having a
reaction. If this occurs, wash the area, and stop using any product on the area. Allow the reaction to settle down,
which it should do in 24-72 hours.
• The tattoo site cannot be tattooed again within 28 days or scarring can result. If you see changes that you would
like to make to shape or color, they will need to wait until after this 28-day period.
There are no implied or written guarantees if you don’t take care of your Permanent Makeup.
Consent and Release Agreement – Hair Strokes
By signing this form, you agree that you have been given the information needed to make an informed choice to have
hair strokes done today. Make sure you have thoroughly reviewed and approved the results for today. If you have
any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Although the hair stroke technique is permanent and is effective in most
cases, no guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit from the procedure. Generally, the results are
excellent: however, a perfect result is not realistic and should not be expected with the 1st application of the hair
strokes. It is usual to require a touchup after the healing from the 1st application is complete.
If you are a correction, it is guaranteed that you will require a 2nd and maybe a 3rd touchup. If that is the case, there
will be an additional charge of only $95. We can and will make small adjustments to the color as well as the overall
design on the second visit
