small items, as a flat pouch
sewn on or inside a pair of
pants or blouse.
When it comes to blouses, there
are several types of pockets that
can be used to add functionality
and aesthetic style. Here are some
common types of pockets for
blouse:

Patch pocket
This is a basic pocket
design that is sewn unto the
garment. It is a simple and
versatile pocket style that
can be seen on shirts and
blouse

A flap pocket is a patch


pocket with a separate
Flap pocket piece of fabric that hangs
down over the pocket
opening. The Flap can be
closed with a button or other
fastening. Flap are
commonly seen or jackets,
shirts and pants.

Slit/ slash pocket This pocket style is created


by cutting a slit in the
garment and sewing a
pocket bag behind it. Slit
pockets are often found on
blouse and dresses.

Side seam pocket this pocket is hidden within


the side seam of the
garment, creating a
seamless look. Side seam
pocket are practical and can
be found on various types of
blouse.

A breast pocket is located


Breast pocket on the chest area of the
blouse. It is commonly seen
on shirts and can add a
touch of style to the
garment.

Welt Pocket
A welt pocket is a set-in
pocket that is finished with
fabric welts along its length.
It is often seen on chinos
and dress pants but can
also be used on blouses for
a more tailored look.
