FORCE is a push or a pull on a thing when another thing acts
on it
PUSH is to make something move away from you.
PULL is to make something move toward you.
THROW is to make something you were holding move through
the air.
HOLD is to carry, and keep something in your hand.
KICK is to hit or move something with your foot.
MOVE is to change the place or position.
SOMETHING is a thing that is not named or not known.
ACT is to do something, something that you do.
DROP is to make or let something fall down.
SPIN is to make something turn around in a circle.
WITHOUT is not having or not doing something.
GROUND the area that you stand on.
BOUNCE is to make something move down to a surface and
come back up again.
WORD STUDY
3rd person singular suffixes
Suffixes are letters or groups of letters added to the end of
words to change their meaning or function.
When using regular verbs in the 3rd person singular form (he,
she, or it), we generally add the suffix "-s" or "-es" to the verb.
Examples of adding the "-s" suffix:
- "I kick, but he or she kicks."
- "I push, but the book pushes."
Verbs ending in "-s," "-sh," or "-ch" require the suffix "-es"
instead of just "-s." For example: "The dog pushes the ball."
WORD STUDY
For other verbs that do not end in "-s," "-sh," or "-ch," we simply
add the "-s" suffix. For example: "He jumps over the fence."
It's important to pay attention to the subject of the sentence. If
the subject is "he," "she," or "it," we need to use the
appropriate suffix ("-s" or "-es").
The 3rd person singular suffix helps us clarify who is performing
the action or what is happening in a sentence.
By understanding and correctly applying the 3rd person singular
suffix, we can communicate more accurately and effectively in
English.

correctly in 1 minute.
2. Take turns to turn over the flashcards, read the flashcards, and record

your results on the graph.
4. Discuss the results with your teacher and review the errors.
5. Return every day to the graph in your workbooks and see your progress
over the five weeks.

FOCUS WORDS
Regular verbs can take other suffixes, such as "-ing," to
indicate actions happening now or in the present progressive
tense.
When a regular verb ends in the letter 'e,' we drop the 'e' before
adding the "-ing" suffix. For example, "move" becomes
"moving" and "make" becomes "making."
Regular verbs with a short vowel sound followed by a
consonant at the end require doubling the last consonant
before adding the "-ing" suffix. For instance, "spin" becomes
"spinning" and "drop" becomes "dropping."
