INDIAN TEA RECIPES

CLASSIC INDIAN TEA

Quantity: 90 ml

Ingredients:

Milk - 50 ml

Water – 50 ml

Tea powder – 3 gms (1 tea spoon)

Sugar – 6 – 7 gms (2 tea spoons)

Method:

1. In a saucepan boil the water, add tea powder boil until the colour of the water changes to a
dark hue of red. Keep stirring. Boil for 2 mins.

2. Add milk and bring to boil 3-4 times to get flavours to fuse. Keep stirring and adjust your
heat to ensure the tea doesn't burn or boil over.

3. Add sugar and allow to boil again. Turn off heat.

4. Strain the tea through a tea strainer direct into the tea cup

5. Serve the chai with Indian snacks like pakoras, samosas or biscuits. Enjoy!

MASALA TEA

Quantity: 90 ml

Ingredients:

Milk - 50 ml

Water – 50 ml

Tea Masala – 0.5 gms (Pinch of masala) – Buy readymade Tea masala

Tea powder – 3 gms (1 tea spoon)

Sugar – 6 – 7 gms (2 tea spoons)

Method:

1. In a saucepan boil the water, add tea masala & boil until the colour of the water changes to a
mild yellowish hue. Boil for 1 min.

2. Add tea powder, boil again until the colour of the water changes to a dark hue of red. Keep
stirring. Boil for 2 mins.

3. Add milk and bring to boil 3-4 times to get flavours to fuse. Keep stirring and

adjust your heat to ensure the tea doesn't burn or boil over.

Lemon – 1 spoon (Lemon juice)

Sugar – 6 – 7 gms (2 tea spoons)

Method:

1. In a saucepan boil the water, add tea powder boil until the colour of the water changes to a
dark hue of red. Keep stirring. Boil for 2 mins.

2. Add sugar and allow to boil again. Turn off heat.

3. Add lemon juice to the tea cup

4. Strain the tea through a tea strainer direct into the tea cup

Quantity: 90 ml

Ingredients:

Water – 100 ml

Tea powder – 3 gms (1 tea spoon)

Lemon – 1 spoon (Lemon juice)

Ginger – 1.5 gms (1/2 tea spoon ginger paste)

Sugar – 6 – 7 gms (2 tea spoons)

Method:

1. In a saucepan boil the water, add ginger boil until the colour of the water changes to a mild
yellowish hue. Boil for 1 min.

2. Add tea powder, boil again until the colour of the water changes to a dark hue of red. Keep
stirring. Boil for 2 mins.

3. Add sugar and allow to boil again. Turn off heat.

 Use 4.5/6.5 fat Milk

 Use CTC variety Tea powder (3 Roses/Taj mahal/ or any tea powder of your choice)

 Use refined sugar for better taste
