Kancil Science Competition is an annual competition for primary, secondary, and pre-university
students that aims to challenge students’ science knowledge through critical thinking, problem-
solving, and general scientific knowledge
OUR OBJECTIVES
Gain recognition for your Sharpen analytical and Stand a chance to represent
efforts and achievements problem-solving skills by Malaysia in the International
through certificates and medals working on competition Junior Science Olympiad
which can be valuable for your questions that require (IJSO) 2024 that will be held
academic profile innovative thinking in Romania

Categories:
The questions are designed and formulated by education professionals to stimulate students’
inquiry-based science skills for each category.
● Delta: Form 4,5,&6 (Public school), Year 10,11,&12 (International school) & Pre-
university.
Students outside the Malaysian school system (e.g. international school or home-schooled
students) can select the appropriate category according to the year of the student enrolled.
Students should be registered into the mentioned categories according to their academic year in
2023/2024 session.

● This competition is under school ONLY. Individual candidates should register under their

Competition Format
Method: Paper-based competition
Questions: 30 MCQ with three level of difficulties (easy, medium, and difficult)
Answering time: 60 minutes
Invigilator: Assigned Teacher-In-Charge
Languages: English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin, Tamil
Competition Procedure:
● The students should ONLY be registered by the designated Teacher-In-Charge
● Register at www.contesthub.my/register
● Fill in the teacher’s and school’s details
● Fill in the student details in the List of Competition
● Complete the payment
● The question package and teacher’s guide booklet will be sent to schools/centers
● On the competition day, the schools will conduct the contest at their own venues.
● Schools are responsible for enforcing the regulations of competition
● Schools will send the OMR answer sheets to the Secretariat
● The results will be announced 3 months after the competition
● The certificates and medals (if any) will be posted to the school one month after the result
is published.
