what this circuit does is places 2x 220k resistors in parallel for a total plate resistance of 110k,
but the 2n2 capacitor allows the bass frequencies to remain compressed as if the stock 220k resistor
is still there. So we have a simple outcome..the highs and mids are now nice and open sounding
being the new plate resistance of R72 is 110k, but now the bass frequencies are nice and tight
sounding being there still compressed...so what you get is a tighter sounding bass structure instead
of the natural, open....flabby sounding bass...This is a must have mod for EL34's.
Org Carbon
R52 22k 22k 1% 2W
R67 10k 10k 1% 2W
R68 10k 10k 1% 2W
R69 10k 10k 1% 2W
R82 15k 15k 1% 2W
The above changes will boost the volume in the clean channel....
allowing it to keep up with the raw volume of OD1/OD2 channels.
Rebalance the volume of the green and orange modes for every channel.
Gain Reduction Mod Did not use potmeter, replaced with 100k resistor
Wire a 1M pot across (in parallel with) R128.
Allows adjustment of gain/volume on OD1/2 Red and
Orange modes. This can be used to balance the
OD1/2 Red and Orange modes with OD1/2 Green
mode
Noise Gate Mod Will work also with direct out
This will fully kill all the floor noise in… all the high gain modes in the amp
this is the peavey JSX noise gate.... works great for the jvm410.
-One of the following resistors depending what type of amp sound You want to sound like
Replace R58 with one of the resistors above with the one you like to have.
Or use a 250k LIN pot in series with 47k resistor.
