TIC OPEN DAY EVENT

Come and Join Us!
The Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) has transformed the way industry and
academia work together. Industry partners, students and academia work side by side,
collaborating to develop solutions to challenges that matter in areas of economic and
social importance including, health, energy, manufacturing and future cities.

This event aims to:

promote the research activities taking place in the building;


encourage more innovation and collaboration between TIC and the wider
Strathclyde community; and
showcase some of the multipurpose spaces within the building including flexible
specialised laboratories and hireable conference and events spaces.

The event will feature presentations from speakers based in TIC, giving an insight to
their research. The presentations will run at the following times:

9.30am to 11am
11am to 12.30pm
12.30pm to 2pm
Each session will feature presentations from:

TIC Operations – Ann-Marie Campbell


Electronic and Electrical Engineering – Dr Paul Murray
PAC Bionano – Dr Lewis MacKenzie
Alter Technology – Paul Kushner
Fraunhofer – Simon Andrews
Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation - Speaker TBC
Atoms, Beams and Plasma Facility – Dr Kevin Ronald
Physics - Scanning Electron Microscopy - Prof. Robert Martin
National Physical Laboratory (NPL) - Ed Quinn

In addition, you are invited to visit the demonstrations and displays on Level 3 between
10am to 2pm where you'll have the opportunity to interact with some of the companies
and departments based within TIC and find out more about the projects they work on. .
