2 - Installation Rules Paper 2 - 2023
Our Installation Rules Paper 2 program is used to prepare a learner for the national exam Installation Rules.
This exam is required as part of the criteria by the Department of Labour to apply to become an installation
electrician. The Examination Instruction 08 of 2009 (IEMIE Syllabus) can be found on our web site.
Target audience
• Any person who intends to write Installation Rules Paper 2 exams as administered by the Department of
Education on behalf of the Department of Labour.
Pre-requisites
• Have all the required codes and standards.
Online training
The online course is a self-directed program consisting of all the syllabus required for the exam including exam
practice questions. Should you have any questions you will be able to email us from the platform and we will
respond to you during working hours.
The online course will be available for two blocks at a time. At the end of the second block the students access
to the platform ends. You will have access 24/7, until the day of the exam. You will be able to enrol for both
papers if you do the online course but you will only have two block’s access to the each online program. i.e if
you enrol for both papers during the same block, you will only have access for the two blocks.
You can have access to the online platform using the internet browser on your computer or cell phone.

You will require the following codes for Installation rules exams paper 2.
The codes below are available from SABS via their web site -https://store.sabs.co.za/catalog/ or from their
offices in Pretoria.
The SABS office may offer you a discount if you produce your Tax Invoice, Proof of payment, a copy of your ID
and a letter from us confirming that you have enrolled onto the course. We will issue the letter once we have
received payment.
The Installation rules exam is a national exam and is offered by the TVET colleges. For enrolment to the exam
pls contact you Local TVET exam centre. Should you have any difficulties in this matter please don’t hesitate to
contact us.
Also take note that these fees are not included into the course costs.
