INTRODUCTION
SMEs account for 90% of businesses in Africa and

account for more than half of all employment on the
continent. In SSA alone, there are an estimated 44 million
SMEs operating across all sectors of the economy. They
make up more than 80% of businesses in Ghana.
Climate action in Africa, therefore, cannot be done at

scale, independent of SMEs. This is why Korey
Sustainability is a catalyst for change, empowering SMEs
operating traditional businesses to transform their
business models to become green and clean.
Korey aims to bridge the sustainability gap in Africa by

providing comprehensive advisory services to traditional
MSMEs.
MISSION
Our aim is to transform traditional MSMEs into
sustainable enterprises that contribute positively to
the environment and society, all while improving
their competitiveness in an evolving global market.

KEY OBJECTIVES
Sustainability Education: Provide traditional businesses
with the necessary education and information on
sustainability issues, regulations, and global best
practices.
Environmental Impact Reduction: Implement practical

measures to reduce resource consumption, emissions,
and waste, leading to a greener and more efficient
operation.
Policy Advocacy & Research: Advocate for the design,

passing and implementation of eco-friendly policies,
balancing local experiences/context with global best
practices.
WHY KOREY IS DIFFERENT
Korey takes a unique approach by addressing and transforming traditional business

models. Our strategy is to insert ourselves within the traditional business models of MSMEs
to make their processes green and clean.
