Descriptive sentences

Accident
1. I heard the deafening crash and felt a terrible jolt. Glass and steel flew everywhere. My
whole body seemed to be turning inside out.

2. One moment I was moving around the corner, my thoughts on everything but the road,
then I was falling. That part happens in slow motion every time and I recall those split
seconds of realising that there is pain to come and nothing that can be done about it.

3. I never saw the car coming. The bumper hit my knee, shattering it, throwing me onto
the hood. I slammed into the windshield, cracking it.

4. I heard the screech of brakes and in the next second, I rolled over the top of the car and
slammed into the pavement, cracking my skull.

5. There was an endless shattering of glass breaking, metal grinding, engines melting,
leather tearing, and plastic cracking as everything was covered with a blanket of glass.

6. Then flash, in the blink of an eye, the world was turned upside down. When I finally
got myself together, I was lying about 20 feet from the wreckage.

7. I received a violent jolt and my body hit the steering wheel and the front windscreen. I
was thrown out of the car with terrific force.

8. I could feel the car hit me and there was screeching of brakes before that. It was like
shattering blasts of thunder and the next thing I know, I heard a tremendous crash.

9. A motorist horned furiously behind me and before I could swerve to the side, I felt the
bumper of the car hitting my bicycle. For a split second, I feel my bicycle wobble.
There was a screech of brakes and the impact sent me flying through the air. I fell
heavily on the ground.

10. The car swerved to the right and to the left. I looked on, alarmed that the driver might
have lost control of the vehicle. My worst fear was confirmed. An instant later, the car
crashed into the brick wall. There was a sickening crash of metal being twisted at the
moment of impact before the engine died and the car lay in a heap of fume.

11. I heard the screeching of brakes followed by blaring of horns shattering the silence of
the peaceful morning. I rushed to the scene of the accident.

School Holiday

1. There were so many things that we had bought for our family day
at the beach, like snacks and refreshments and meats and rice and so the
list goes on. Now that the day had finally arrived, I was ready to spend a
wonderful time with my parents at the beach.

2. My older brother was the champion, the go-getter, the model child that
mom had so carefully crafted. I was the extra, the buddy, the second and
last. Always I got less support, less consideration, but still compared to the
yard stick of my brother.

3. The sea water was blue and beautiful as it sparkles in the warm sun. There
were a few people here and there on the beach. Some were busy playing
cricket, while a few kids were building sandcastles just for fun. There were
at least three or six people for the most, already bathing in the clear, blue
sea water.

4. By the time, we had gotten out from the caravan, I was already excited to
go into the water and enjoy a fine sea bath. My mom had seemed to have
read my mind so she told me that’s it lunch first, and then we all can go
into the water.

5. This family vacation may not have been anything too spectacular to anyone
looking in from the outside. However, to those who were fortunate enough
to be part of the vacation, it meant everything. This family vacation story
also shows how important family really is.

6. The mountain rose on the horizon, sheer rock striking down from snowy
peak. Only the base was softened by the virescence of a pine blanket. An
hour ago, it had seemed so close, and now after flying down the highway at
a hundred kilometres an hour it was just the same size.

7. I looked out of the window to have a quick look at the clear blue sea water
one more before we drove off. I can see that sun was already setting above
the horizon of the ocean. But I know that some other again, we shall return
to enjoy another family day at the beach.
