Welcome to Lee Bell, the staff, players, directors and
fans of Crewe Alexandra for today’s Sky Bet League Two
game.

Looking back over the Easter period, we were obviously

frustrated with the Morecambe result.

There wasn’t a lot in the game but we know we can’t afford

to give the goals away we did.

We were then chasing the game but we showed a lot of

character and I was happy with the way we finished the
game; we came so close to an equaliser.

Monday was disappointing, travelling to Mansfield and then

for the match to be called off by the referee, but we think it
was the right decision.

It has given us the chance to work all week on our game

plan for today’s game and the lads have shown a great
attitude.

Crewe are obviously in a good position in League Two, in

the Play-Off places, and they are there for a reason. We had
a good game against them at their place - it ended 3-3 with
us scoring two late goals and them equalising with almost
the last kick of the game, and having a man sent off.

They are a good side, good on the eye and, in terms of

form, theirs is similar to ours with one win in five games. It
will be a challenge but it’s important for us to get the first
goal and then see where it takes us.

I want to put the strongest possible team out and it’s also a
chance for me to look at players, whether it’s the young lads,
or players who are coming back from injury, as we start to
put plans together for next season.
