Plasticizers-Global Scenario
Overview

The Global Plasticizers market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.7%

USD 14.92 billion in 2022 to USD 18.34 billion in 2027
The growing infrastructure development in developing countries, such as China, India, and
Brazil is driving the demand for Plasticizers

Indian Plasticizers demand growth estimated at ~10%

Types of Plasticizers used in INDIA: Phthalates, Non-Phthalates, Adipates, Sebacates,
Trimellitates, Citrates, Specialty Plasticizers, Polymeric Esters, Chlorinated Paraffin,
Flame Retardants, Epoxidized Soybean Oil etc
Chlorinated Paraffin's dominates consumption of Plasticizers in INDIA followed by DOP/DINP &
other Phthalates/Non-Phthalates
There is a shift towards MCCP & LCCP consumption in Indian subcontinent in articles made for
exports
Asia Pacific holds 60% share of global Plasticizer consumption, closely followed by North
America, China dominates the majority stake of Plasticizers consumption in Asia Pacific

New Gen Plasticizers
Tailor Made CHLORO PARAFFINS | KLJ-LCCP

To meet “Increasing challenges of Regulatory compliance, Product Performance"

Complying regulatory requirements with enhancement of FR properties

Loss of mass is much lower in compounds made with KLJ-LCCP

Thermal properties are lower and some more dosage of stabilizers has to
be incorporated in the formulation as compared to MCCP

Hardness is slight higher due to presence of higher C-Chain

Electrical properties are comparable

Additional advantage is low specific gravity ,an extra edge in

applications like- Metal Working Fluids, Industrial and Automotive
Lubricants, PVC Flooring, Rubber Processing, Carpets etc.
Regulatory replacement of MCCP(Continent Specific)

KANA BIO | Future Alternate of CP

To meet “Increasing challenges of Regulatory compliance, Product Performance"

KANA-BIO is a Chlorinated Bio based Ester & can be used as Secondary

Plasticizer
Is a green Plasticizer
Can work in both flexible and Plastisol applications

CP is been used in misc. application for many years to reduce cost, KANA-
BIO works similar to CP’s but has several advantages:
• Lower water extractability
• Increased flex strength
• Lower Plastisol viscosity
• Not considered a substance of very high concern (SVHC)
• Not listed on Prop 65

REACh/RoHS Compliant replacement of CP
