    COPYRIGHT TRANSFER AGREEMENT

    The undersigned author has submitted a manuscript entitled (Paper No.: )

    (the "Work") for publication in the Journal of Information Science and Engineering (JISE), published by the
    Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica. The author transfers without compensation, to the Institute
    of Information Science, Academia Sinica, during the full term of the copyright, the exclusive rights within the
    Republic of China comprised in the copyright of the Work, including the right to publish the Work and the
    material contained therein throughout the world, in all languages and all media, and to license others to do so.
    The author, however, retains the following:

    1. Rights to trademarks and patents relating to the Work.


    2. The right to make copies of all or part of the Work for the author’s use in classroom teaching.
    3. The right to use, after publication, all or part of the Work in a book or collection of works by the
    author.
    4. The right to produce copies of the Work for internal distribution within the institution which employs
    the author, or for marketing activities.
    5. The right to make oral presentations from the Work.

    The author agrees that all copies made under any of the above conditions will include a notice of copyright
    and a citation to JISE.
    The author guarantees that the Work is the author’s original work, that it is submitted only to JISE, and that
    it has not been published before. If excerpts from copyrighted works are included, the author represents that
    written permission has been obtained from the copyright owners and that credit is shown for the sources in the
    Work. The author also guarantees that the Work contains no libelous or otherwise unlawful statements, and
    that it does not infringe on the rights of others.
    If the Work was prepared jointly with (an)other author(s), the undersigned author represents that (s)he has
    notified the other author(s) of the stipulations of this Agreement and has obtained their agreement to it and
    their permission to sign on their behalf. If the Work was prepared for the author's employing organization in
    the course of employment, and if the copyright is owned by the employer, then the employing organization
    must agree to the above stipulations and must sign this Agreement in the space provided below.
