writer and a singer until now. Taylor swift written the song “Love story” when she was 17 years
old. Where, the song was composed with some poetic devices that enhance and make the whole
song meaningful. Taylor swift creates an illusion where she was comparing her love for a guy
and their story is just like Romeo and Juliet. Where she included in her song the line “Caused
you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter and my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet". The Romeo
refers to the guy she loved and she was the Juliet. Just like Romeo and Juliet their love was
forbid by their parents where.

And The Scarlet letter reference is only a simile to the disdain the Montagues and the Capulets
hold for one another. Basically she is saying because they come from two separate worlds, if the
lovers were together it would be frowned upon with such intensity it would be like wearing a
scarlet letter; that SHE would be HIS scarlet letter. She is simply writing a love story in her head.
She sees a guy that maybe she thinks is in a different league than her or "taboo" in some way yet
she falls for him. The meaning of Swift’s song is all about forbidden lovers meet for secret trysts
and plot to run away together, choosing each other over their families.

The song as a whole is very creative and its really convey or show what’s the story of the song.
From the scenes and set up of the music video really good and connected to the song. In the last
part of the song, the things end more happily than we might expect, with Romeo ran to Juliet and
they were happy together. It was like they were freed and their love has given a chance.

was released last 2013. Where the song is about the woman that have a crush on the guy whom is
passes by with their house. This song is very exciting because of the music video that is shown
and illustrated. Where a woman waits at their window for the man she likes to pass by. And
when the woman notices the young man's glance at her and she felt thrilled every time she sees
him.
