    Denakil Plain. It is made up of active volcanoes, salt lakes, and lava lakes.
    5. This new body of water would be the result of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden
    flooding over the Afar region and into the East African Rift Valley.

    2 Vechur Cow 2. The Vechur Cow is acknowledged as one of the world’s smallest cattle breeds, is

    1. New study shows wild populations of Indian star tortoises, exist as two genetically
    distinct populations, one in northwestern India and the other in southern India.
    2. Star Tortoises are one of the most trafficked species in the world.
    3. Habitat – Endemic to the Indian subcontinent & inhabits two disjoined arid regions,
    3 Star Tortoise northwestern India (including parts of Pakistan) and southern India (including parts
    of Sri Lanka). IUCN Status – Indian Star Tortoise is a vulnerable species.
    4. Currently, seized star tortoises in India are released into wildlife sanctuaries such as
    the Chinnar wildlife sanctuary and Sathyamangalam wildlife sanctuary.

    1. The Supreme Court recently urges to provide ration cards to migrant workers
    registered in eShram portal but not covered under the National Food Security Act.
    2. eShram - To create a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW) to
    4 eShram portal extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them.
    3. Ministry - Developed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
    4. It is the 1st-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant
    workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.
