SDG # 6. Clean Water and Sanitation

MELC: Express one’s beliefs/convictions based on Material viewed (EN7VC-IV-i-16)

Learning Objectives: At the end of the activity, students will be able to:

- Identify water-related issues in the community;


- Demonstrate the possible solutions of water and sanitation issues; and
- Produce a conviction to solve water-related problems.

Activity: Pictionary – Painting-Picture (Combination of Pictionary and Paint Me a Picture)

Mechanics: The students will be group by the teacher into 5 or more members per group (Depends on teacher’s
preference). Each group should be assigned into a designated area where they can move freely. The teacher will
be presenting pictures regarding water shortages, clean water and other water-related issues. The students are
given 1 minute to brainstorm the possible solution or action that a community must perform. After the one minute
of brainstorming, they are given another 1 minute to paint the picture of their action towards the issue. 15-
seconds will be given to further explain the action of the group towards the problem. The winner will be chosen
base on the criteria below.

SDG # 10. Reduce Inequalities

MELC: Cite evidence to support a general statement (EN7RC-IV-g10.4)

Learning Objectives: At the end of the activity, students will be able to:

- Select credible sources to support a claim;


- Assess the relevance of evidence to suffice a claim; and
- Produce a general statement regarding the most effective way of reducing inequalities

Activity: Battle of Wit

Sample Topic:

- Should governments prioritize reducing gender equality over income inequality?


- Is universal basic Income a viable solution to address income inequality?
- Is it the responsibility of individuals or government to address discrimination and promote inclusivity?

Mechanics :

The students will be group into 5, one rebuttalist and 4 speakers. The topic will be given prior to the
day of presentation. The teacher will decide who will speak first in righteous manner. After the first speaker,
the other group’s first speaker will do the interpellation and then vice versa. Once all the speakers of both
teams are done, the rebuttalist of each team will now present the fallacies and loopholes of each team with
supporting evidences. The group will be graded base on the rubrics below.
