Enterprise Mobility
Well, First of all thank you for this opportunity to be interviewed by your company today.
Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in Software Engineering at Nottingham Trent University.
My most recent role was being an Embrace Mentee at Microsoft, where I gained valuable
insights into Microsoft's purpose and products.
I am now keen to implement my learnings in the professional world. I wish to work in the
Cloud Computing area of my studies and gain experience with industry standard tools. Thus,
I am interested in working at Enterprise Mobility.
I believe I have the type of knowledge to succeed in this role and at the
company because I'm drawn to working on a project involving cloud
development and data analysis. I previously did a traineeship programme
at Libra Computers which was focused on learning modern Cloud
Computing Technologies like Microsoft Azure. I Have Also Done Various
Programming Projects like A Logic Gate Simulator and A Chess Game. I am
eager to apply these skills and contribute to the projects within the team.
Your company stood Out To Me As to How You Promote Employee Growth.
I personally find it interesting how you emphasize on an employee’s
professional growth through on-the-job training and mentorship.
I'm also good at working In a team. For instance, when me and my classmates were working
on a system proposal report project as part of University coursework, teamwork was
essential. Each team member had different expertise, and I made sure everyone had a chance
of giving in their input and encouraged to share their ideas. By working closely together, we
successfully completed the report, demonstrating the importance of teamwork in achieving
shared goals.
What are your weaknesses?
I've had a tendency to say 'yes' too often and overcommit because I like to help wherever I
can. However, I've been working on this. To manage it better, I now prioritize tasks by their
importance and deadlines. Seeking feedback has helped me understand where I can improve
and delegate tasks when needed. So, although I used to struggle with taking on too much, I've
learned ways to handle it effectively.
Once, while working at a textile store, a customer received damaged cloth in their order.
They were upset as they needed it for a special event.
My job was to fix the problem and make sure the customer was happy.
First, I listened to the customer's complaint and said sorry for the trouble. Then, I offered
solutions like a refund, a new piece of cloth, or a discount on their next purchase. I quickly
arranged for a replacement and kept the customer informed about the progress.
The customer chose a replacement, which we sent promptly. They were satisfied with how
we handled the situation and appreciated our efforts. This taught me the importance of
listening to customers and solving problems quickly.
While at Libra Computers for my Cloud Computing Trainee program, I was part of a group
tasked with creating a cloud-based application for an imaginary client.
Our job was to build an app that could securely store files on a remote server for a company's
records.
I started by gathering the team to discuss our plan and divide up tasks based on each person's
skills. We decided on deadlines and who would do what. I made sure everyone knew what to
do. I made sure to help my teammates when they needed it. I also made sure to collect
everyone’s input on how we can improve certain functionalities
With everyone collaborating, we finished the app on time and it met the client's needs. This
experience taught me how important teamwork and leadership are for success.
In my final year at university, our group project involved creating a presentation on cyber
threats.
I researched and presented on ransomware attacks, while others covered different topics.
We divided tasks clearly and communicated regularly. I gathered information, shared it with
the team, and we worked together to structure the presentation.
Our teamwork and clear communication led to a successful presentation. We got positive
feedback, showing how effective communication helped us deliver a good result. This
experience taught me the importance of working together and communicating well in a team.
Tell me about a time you demonstrated problem solving.
When I started my tenure as a freelancer for the Automobile Club De Goa, the very first task
given to me was to fix their website which was outdated.
First, I checked what was wrong, like broken links and slow loading. Then, I updated the
design and fixed the technical problems. I talked to the club to understand what they needed
and made sure to ask for feedback along the way. I also made it easier for them to update the
website in the future.
The new website received positive feedback from users. People liked it more, and it worked
better. The club was happy with the improvements, and my manager praised me for fixing the
problem on my own.
