4.2 Module Administration

To generate a reports the pre-configuration of the Module is required. Pre-configuration consists of the
following operations:
· Setting up a connections with databases that will be used as a data source (see Setting Up the
Database Connection);
· Specifying a particular criteria to retrieve data for the SecurOS Auto reports (see Setting Up
SecurOS Auto Reports).

4.2.1 Setting Up Database Connection

Before working with the module, you must configure the connections to the database that will be used
to retrieve data.

To generate SecurOS report (SecurOS object events for the period) it is necessary to set up two
connections:
· main SecurOS settings database connection;
· SecurOS event protocol database connection.

www.issivs.com
SecurOS Reports 17 User Guide
Working with Module

By default these database are created during SecurOS installation and have the securos and
protocol names, respectively.

To generate SecurOS Auto reports (group of statistic reports for the vehicles with recognized license
plates) it is necessary to set up the following connections:
· main SecurOS settings database connection;
· SecurOS Auto recognized license plates database connection.
By default the SecurOS main settings database is created with the securos name, and SecurOS Auto
recognized license plates database — with the auto name.

To set up a database connection do the following:

1. Select the Database connections command in the Settings menu of the Module main window.
System will display Database connections window (see Figure 14).

in the Title text box list and can be used when setting up report parameters.

4.2.1.1 Setting Up PostgreSQL Service

SecurOS Reports Module can be installed on any computer within local network including that one
where SecurOS system software is not installed. At the same time for proper SecurOS Reports Module
operation the connection to the SecurOS and SecurOS Auto databases, that are deployed on the SecurOS
network servers, is needed. By default PostgreSQL DBMS allows connection to the databases only from
that SecurOS network computers, where databases are deployed. To provide connection to the
databases from any network computer it is necessary to edit the pg_hba.conf PostgreSQL
configuration file, that is located, by default, in the C:\Program Files (x86)
\PostgreSQL\9.1\Data folder of the each SecurOS server.

To allow connections to any databases from any computer within network do the following:
1. Open pg_hba.conf configuration file on that SecurOS server where databases that are supposed to
be connected from the SecurOS Reports Module are deployed.
2. In the # IPv4 local connections section (or, if IPv6 protocol is used, in the # IPv6 local connections
section) replace the string

host all all 127.0.0.1/32 md5

with the string

host all all 0.0.0.0/0 md5

3. Save changed file.

4. Restart PostgreSQL system service (Computer ® Manage ® Services and Applications ® Services
® postgresql-9.1 - PostgreSQL Server 9.1).
5. Repeat described steps on all SecurOS network servers, databases of which are supposed to be used.
